Anyone Else Frustrated with Current Note-Taking and Reminder Apps?

I’ve been talking with a few friends lately about managing notes and tasks, and it seems like a lot of people aren’t really satisfied with the current options out there. Whether they’re founders, in business development, marketing, or engineering, the consensus is the same: we need something better. Here are a couple of examples that stood out to me: One friend has an issue where he needs his notes and reminders to be tied directly to his contacts. Right now, he’s manually jotting down small notes in Apple Contacts, larger notes in Apple Notes, and using Apple Reminders separately. It’s a scattered system, and none of the apps really work together in a way that makes sense for him. Another friend has been bouncing between tools for years. When he’s in a meeting or talking to a customer, quick thoughts pop into his head, and he wants to jot them down fast. But structured apps are too slow when you’re in the moment—there’s no time to open an app, fill out a form, or set a reminder. His fallback is still a simple notepad because it’s quick. Plus, he doesn’t always need a time-based reminder—he just wants to attach a task or note to the person he’s following up with. What I noticed is that both of them, despite different workflows, need their notes and reminders tied to their contacts—whether it’s for colleagues, clients, or professional contacts. This becomes really useful when you’re juggling multiple tasks and small follow-ups every day. Is anyone else dealing with the same problem? What do you think? I’m toying with the idea of building a simple note-taking and reminder app that links everything to your contacts. It’d be like a personal CRM, but without the complexity. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Totally agree! I've tried Notion, Evernote, Apple Notes... but it's a pain to keep things organized across them. An app that ties notes, tasks, and reminders to specific contacts would be clutch. Like if I could pull up a contact and instantly see my notes and to-dos related to them. Someone needs to make this happen!
