Community Poll: Should We Keep Animated GIF Avatars in Our Platform?

Hello dear community, we are working on a feature for our Affiliate Marketing SaaS platform that allows users to set avatars for their accounts. This could be useful, for example, when other team members or partners need to recognize someone in the user interface quickly. In our current implementation, we’ve also made it possible to use (animated) .gif files as avatars. What do you think about this? An unnecessary gimmick that no one needs and might even be confusing?
