Presenteeism means: Showing up at the workplace despite having low productivity or feeling sick.

The majority of people think it is a great idea. But, they are unaware of the long-term effects it will have on employees. Presenteeism and productivity have a strong connection. Higher the presenteeism rate, the lower the productivity level at the workplace.

I agree with you. In spite of the negative effects of presenteeism on your productivity, many employees wind up being present in the workplace every day without fail. Although it may not seem like a big deal at first, presenteeism can lead to more serious consequences.
