Do you use any tools for planning your day?

๐ Hello, everyone! I think it is very important to plan the day in business life. Even if there are things that come out of the blue sometimes, what are the things I should do for that day in general, and then ticking them makes me feel like I have completed that job and I feel more motivated for my next tasks.
๐ฃIn the past, I had a separate agenda for work and a separate agenda for personal, and I was planning my day and creating checkboxes in both.
๐ค Right now, I'm using digital tools because the first thing I do when I wake up is to sit in front of the computer. That's why I now follow up my tasks on a digital planner and I think it really increases my motivation and productivity.
๐งโโ๏ธDo you also make a to-do list and follow up on it while working or in your daily life? If so, do you use it regularly? If you use it regularly, what motivates you?

I've tried so many things over the years, but honestly can't use a notebook and pen anymore :) Totally digitalized. Todoist instead of sticky notes and Calendar with specific meetings are my win-win.

Tool Finder - Find Productivity Tools
There's loads of tools like this. Top daily planners apps out there are: Motion, Sunsama, Akiflow - but I use Todoist right now.
Planning daily tasks is important because it helps with time management, increases productivity, aligns actions with long-term goals, reduces stress, allows for adaptability, improves decision-making, and fosters personal and professional growth.
Our team used MS Project for 2 years, but then we found a great alternative to Microsoft Project (https://blog.ganttpro.com/en/mic...) GanttPRO. This platform is based on an intuitive Gantt chart that allows scheduling your daily tasks with ease and pleasure.
I think this is the best choice we've ever made.

Yes, I track my time to keep track of exactly how much time I spend on a task and how I work
SaaS for Greater Good
These are the tools I use to plan my day:
Cron: I block and schedule my time effectively, ensuring I stay focused and productive.
Notion: I rely on Notion to keep track of my notes and seamlessly prepare for meetings.
Taskade: Breaking down tasks and monitoring my organizational progress has never been easier with Taskade.
Cal.com: With separate links for my team and others, scheduling time becomes a breeze for everyone involved.
Superhuman: Superhuman helps me hit inbox zero and keeps my email workflow organized, keeping things sane and manageable.
You can call me a bit old-school. I use To Do from Microsoft to track my work. It's kinda simple, neat, and straight to the point. And I like that. So what about you?

I tried a lot of tools but personally, Pen and Paper has worked really well for me.
Hello there! It's great to hear about your process for daily planning. Like you, I also find planning my day to be incredibly beneficial for productivity. For me, I use a blend of digital tools and traditional pen and paper methods.
In terms of digital tools, I use a project management software called Trello. It allows me to create boards for different projects and within those, I can make lists and tasks. Each task can be moved around, labeled, given a due date, and more. I find it particularly useful for breaking down larger projects into manageable tasks.
However, I also love the tactile feel of writing things down, so each morning, I write a list of tasks I want to accomplish in a notebook. There's something satisfying about physically crossing out a task once it's completed - it gives me a sense of accomplishment.
As for staying motivated, I think the key is setting realistic expectations. I try not to overload my list with too many tasks, as it can feel overwhelming and actually hinder productivity. I also make sure to include time for breaks, as it's important to rest and recharge throughout the day.
I'd love to hear about the digital planner you're using and how you find it beneficial! Does anyone else use a mix of digital and traditional methods, or perhaps a completely different approach?

old-school: calendar + notebook + pen. :)
Good old-fashioned pen and paper works best for me. or I use Stick notes app
Todoist works best for me. Its features that I like are:
* simple UX
* Cloud-based
* Multiple projects
I also use Trello for the things that I should do but their not tasks. Like keeping track of books, courses, etc.
A pen and a paper... for my daily activities.
A spreadsheet for the backlog

I try to stick with Notion for planning, but recently I've started to use ChatGPT for planning daily stuff, like what to cook or what to listen to today.
That's why I'm working on building a web-app that gives you ONE advice per day. Not sure if you are familiar with but we had this calendars when I was a kid and on each day they included name of the day, recipe of the day, etc.

@nickyborry thanks Axel. Iโve prepared the initial version, should be live this weekend ๐
Yes, creating a to-do list and following up on it can be a beneficial practice for both work and personal life. Many people find it helpful to plan their day and organize tasks using to-do lists. By doing so, they can prioritize their responsibilities and track their progress throughout the day. Using digital tools, such as a digital planner or task management apps, can be convenient, especially if you spend a significant amount of time in front of a computer. By the way, I buy such novelties on wallyhome.com. These tools allow for easy tracking, updating, and syncing of tasks across devices, providing a seamless experience. But I prefer pen and paper!

Hey, planning queen! I'm all about the digital planner life too. My to-do list is the boss of me. It's my savior when I'm feeling dazed, confused, or in a lazy daze ๐
Hi Zekiye,
Hope so you're doing well, am using Eisenhower Matrix method to prioritized and manage me whole day routine.

Google Calendar sorts out my schedule and keeps me on track.
I always swore by the old school handwritten calendar/agenda. But then recently learned how to use notion and truly there is nothing better for organizing. The best part to me is that you can really customize it to make it exactly what you want.
