I think that emotional state is very important for being productive, simply because you can't be truly productive, if you don't have the right mindset.
What do you think, Oleksandr?

@sandradjajic I have no doubt that mood and productivity are connected. I'm curious to understand how seriously creative, entrepreneurial, and goal-oriented people take this. And the Product Hunt community largely consists of such individuals.
In my opinion, maintaining a good mood requires some effort. And I'm not talking about forcing yourself to be happy. That's more like deception, which is more likely to harm than help. I'm talking about factors influencing mood. And that's what interests me - do many people pay due attention to this?
Of course, there's a connection. It's easier to get distracted, and efficiency significantly decreases when you, for example, feel frustrated about the project. It gets harder to even force yourself to work on it.
But a positive mood isn't something that will always be with you, and it's not something we can truly control. There are situations where maintaining it is out of reach. But what you can do is focus on your purpose and motivation, setting goals to have those little achievements/milestones to celebrate.
Understanding the purpose of your work and its impact on others is definitely helpful. And seeing progress can further boost your mood and motivation.
@michaelshver I fully agree that project failures can significantly affect mood and, consequently, motivation and productivity. And I partly agree that mood is not something we can truly control. Situations vary, and some can indeed drastically change our mood for the worse. And that's normal. But it's our choice how long we stay in that mood. And that's already a big topic about thought patterns and beliefs. By the way, you provided excellent examples from this topic, talking about little achievements/milestones to celebrate and understanding the purpose of your work and its impact on others.
