If you did, was it positive? What are the tips and pitfalls to avoid?

I tried it a few times, + I tried to hire a 'growth guy' who tried to produce viral posts on specific subreddits.
1. ADs - I had a like 0.12-0.14$ per click rate, which I assume is not bad. Also, I am unsure how 'worthy' the traffic is because my analytics still sucks, and I am inefficiently tracking it.
2. Viral posts - well, 2 posts got huge engagement, like 100 comments. But the way the post was written is that it had a 'hidden' ad inside, which is not the best method of marketing. Overall, not worth it.
