Drafting tweets can be so much better, in my opinion.

- Multiplayer collaboration with invite links, cursors, auto-save, and restricted access.

- /commands with media uploads, location tagging, and AI.

- QoL improvements with drag and drop, :emoji, and confetti when you publish because it's fun 🎉

One way I've seen it done successfully is have all writers read each other's tweets and edit, edit, edit. If you have the time and the writers to spare, though, I like your suggestion of having a group think session to come up with a bunch of tweet ideas. I would write them down and then have the group vote on which ones to tweet. The person who wrote it should be the one to tweet it, though. I've run into problems when others tweet and I'm sure it's not fun at all having someone else's words tweeted as your own.
