How do you feel after vacation?

I thought that I need a rest. I had a trip to other country and I was there 5 days. But after this trip I feel that I need to have rest. It was a new country for me and a very active time, also a lot of new people. I think that this is the reason why I don't feel myself relax. What about you?

I didn't have one :D We were building 7 days/week, ha

@profy17 I think sometimes it's very important, Frank. Isn't it?

@anna_kasumova to work 7days/week? Yes :)

@profy17 what's happened with him after? ;)

I worked the entire summer! Too much is happening in tech right now

I need extra few days (2-3) to recharge before going back to work.

I took a “do nothing week” two weeks ago. No travel, no upskilling, no meeting new people. Nada. I ate, slept, read and watched a ton of great movies. That’s my idea of rest.

I absolutely need a couple of days by myself at home without any plans, or else I wouldn’t be recharged.
I'm on Workation every day!!😃

@girirajasar hm do you feel good?!)
LIKE, I NEED A VACATION! :D There is motivation for the work for sure, so it was definitely a mental vacation, but physically I wanna rest for a few more days.

On one hand, there's that initial feeling of relaxation and rejuvenation, like a breath of fresh air after being stuck in the hustle and bustle of work. It's like hitting the reset button and coming back with a renewed sense of energy and creativity. Suddenly, reality hits you like a ton of bricks, and you realize the mountain of emails, missed calls, and pending tasks waiting for you back at the office.

When I want to relax, I try to organize my vacation in such a way that later, I don’t have to rest from vacation. 😀 If the vacation goes well, you usually want to return to work as soon as possible.
Anna Kasumova
@nickanisimov yes I think that the key is to organize it in this way. I didn't do this. So now I am like a squeezed lemon

I can relate, sometimes traveling can be exhausting even if it's exciting! Hope you get some rest soon, Anna!

Many people, especially younger people, often travel even though they can't afford to, leading to increased financial stress when they come home from the trip and have to deal with increased debt. This issue is why we founded FAM - Social Finance, an all-in-one solution for planning, saving for, and purchasing your trip.
Anna Kasumova
@fam_socialfinance interesting idea. Have you launched your product already?
Sofia Murphy
I feel like not going to office for at least 2-3 days after any trip.
Louis Cirignano
@sofia_murphy I resonate with this! If you do still wanna go on vacation, considering that 😂. Check out the coming soon launch next to my name. FAM is a community to connect with fellow travelers saving up for the same vacation. Understand your travel goals and generate AI-powered budgets within seconds!

I can relate. That's why this time I decided just to let myself do the stuff I wanna do, even if it means spending time watching series or riding a bike. Didn't go anywhere

@noah_jessica Where do you think that stress streams from?

At times, having days off is essential to truly disconnect and relax. Allowing oneself to do nothing and experience boredom can actually stimulate creativity and motivation. If vacations are consistently tiring and filled with constant activity, they might serve as a change from work, but they might not provide sufficient relaxation and rest. :)
