How many products do you plan to launch this year? 😎

We are going to launch one this month, but there is already a second product that we also want to launch. Perhaps we will have time for something else, but for now, full focus on current tasks. What are your plans?

@imchrisdavis Oh, you are so productive. How can you do it?πŸ˜ƒ
Chris Davis
@sergeipetrov Great question! I'm including a couple of infoproducts in the mix so I'm using the term loosely lol. That said, I'm working on a framework for rapidly building apps which should help with the productivity.

On PH, I yet to launch - Bird search https://birdsearch.softr.app/ - Zen Mode https://zenmode.carrd.co/ - Spaces https://spacesformac.xyz/
We launched yesterday and got a great response. We got the #3 product of the day tag, and it is pretty impressive. More is to come in the future. You can check it out here: https://www.producthunt.com/post...

@ali_shaheen Yes, I saw and supported you. Well done guys, great job and interesting application. I wish you growth and further good launches!

Oh, if only I knew the answer! I hope one launch is enough :)

Would you consider a big feature update a product launch too?
Manuel Ernesto Garcia
I think one more. I already have a project in development that I launched a while ago so for now I wouldn't like to work on too many things at the same time, although having another one is a good option for a change of scenery.
Sergei Petrov
@merodriguez9112 oh cool! I also plan to launch my product soon. Share how it was? How did you launch and what were the difficulties?
Manuel Ernesto Garcia
@sergeipetrov I think I could summarize my release as rushed. A few days after having released my product, I launched it here with the intention of attracting users and I had not really studied any guide on how the launch should be. That day I had some feedback and about 50 votes, but it was nothing significant. I think that apart from the work that can be done internally in product hunt, the most important thing is to launch the MVP outside work the engagement with them and then launch it in ProductHunt, when the platform has already created a community which can be redirected to product hunt to support the launch.
Sergei Petrov
@merodriguez9112 Thanks for sharing your story!πŸ™ And how many people came to your product from a product hunt after the launch? We have a different plan. It is that we first launch on the product hunt, and then finish the MVP. We want to collect feedback from potential users in advance in order to have time to take into account their opinion during the finishing the product. By the way, I would appreciate your opinion about pingmi - https://www.producthunt.com/upco...
Manuel Ernesto Garcia
@sergeipetrov my pleasure :) About 200 users entered that day, it really wasn't very significant because it was a bit behind in the list, but the impact that being at the top of the list should not be underestimated. Where I had a good experience was in HackerNews where I managed to position in the first position. That day and the next it made a peak of about a thousand new daily users and the most important thing is that it arouses the interest of others who see the tool, a few days later they made an article in MakeOfUs, two interviews and mentions in lists of productivity apps on Medium which translated into many more users. YES, I think that how you are doing it is a great way to do it, especially since you are already using the upcoming page and giving early access. Pingmi looks really good and also very good pitch! You have my support for launch day!!
Sergei Petrov
@merodriguez9112 Thanks for your feedback. It's great to hear kind words!πŸ™ I'm also insanely glad that you became a supporter! I hope you even become a user of our application one day. πŸ˜‰

Two products for me. I already launched a side project before but not here on ProductHunt and now I'm about to launch the v2.0 - also not on PH haha - but I am planning to launch the v3.0 here. And also one of my next products will be launched here as soon as it's done.
Sergei Petrov
@amineaouraghone good plans, good luck to you! And what kind of product, if not a secret? 😁
Amine Aouragh
Movydick: And The Oscar Goes To...
Movydick: And The Oscar Goes To...
@sergeipetrov Oh no secret at all. My current project is called MovyDick. It's a movie/show recommendation app.
Sergei Petrov
@amineaouraghone You must be good at movies and AI. Cool! Do you plan to recommend instructional videos or podcasts?
Amine Aouragh
Movydick: And The Oscar Goes To...
Movydick: And The Oscar Goes To...
@sergeipetrov Oh not at all good at AI haha. I am not using it for the recommendations. Speaking about instructional videos and podcasts - MovyDick is only about movies and tv shows. But one of my next projects - Youtalgo could do that since I'm planning to build a platform where people could watch YT videos without the fluff and the irrelevant stuff that the YT algo can recommend to them sometimes. So I'd say instructinal videos and podcasts would be there too. I can make a specific category for those ;-)
Raaghav Goel
I think just launching one is a big enough task for me haha!
Sergei Petrov
@raaghavg what product are you planning to launch? What is his idea?
Raaghav Goel
@sergeipetrov We're building a subscription-based, productized document management system that creates a single source of truth for all documented information - paper and digital! Check us out www.dox2u.com :) Are you planning on launching PingMi soon?
Sergei Petrov
@raaghavg Ooh, looks cool! Rather, create an API for integration and PingMi will connect to you for interaction. I think it will be a great collaboration! We are launching very soon. https://www.producthunt.com/upco...
Mounir Nejjai
I'm planning on 5... if I manage 2, I'll be happy!
Sergei Petrov
@mounir_nejjai Yes, that's how it works.πŸ˜… But let's hope for the best - let it be possible to launch 6. When is your next launch?

I only plan on completing my only product by end of year. It also won't be a 'finish and move onto the next' type of product either
Sergei Petrov
@richw In the case of your large project, new major versions of your product may be launched. This will draw additional attention to your business and give your audience an opportunity to learn about updates.

@sergeipetrov Yeah right now our app is only functional through a Discord bot- but has a full web dashboard for it. We're working on a key feature that will allow you to use the app right from the browser, just as you would with the bot. Then from there we'll open up user signups without requiring a Discord account. After that is when I plan to prepare for a launch. I feel it will have a significantly better launch following this timeline. We have more exciting features down the road that are BIG changes, so we'll end up relaunching again when those are rolled out.
Hélène SAN
Let's launch one product first and then see how it goes πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ It's already so tiring (but exciting) to prepare for a launch
Sergei Petrov
@helene_san How do you prepare?:) What tires you the most?
Hélène SAN
@sergeipetrov I use Monday to have a follow-up on my daily tasks and priorities which is really helpful + Notion to gather all the info needed :) I would say to handle a lot on my own because we are a small team it's challenging but I like to have responsibilities
Hélène SAN
@sergeipetrov Do you plan on launching PingMi? :)
Sergei Petrov
@helene_san sounds great! Very few people agree to take responsibility. You are great and I am sure that you will succeed. By the way, when are you planning to launch?
Sergei Petrov
@helene_san Yes, we plan to launch in a couple of weeks. You can learn more about what we do and subscribe to updates here - https://www.producthunt.com/upco... Thank you πŸ™
lanang ari
do you guys are used to doing product launches?, sharing a little experience doesn't seem to be a problem doesn't it
Sergei Petrov
@lanang_ari Yes, you are right, there are different guys here. And someone has already launched more than a dozen different projects. But for me, this will be the first launch on Producthunt. And I'm even a little worried.
Sergei Petrov
Oh, I would like to know if there is any limit on launches?
Gaurav Goyal
I wish I could do more. One would be good enough for me I guess :)
Sergei Petrov
@gauravgoyal_gg When are you planning to launch?
Sergei Petrov
@gauravgoyal_gg In any case, good luck to you! Are you about to launch scalenut here? I will be glad to support you.
Haris Khan
The startup I work for they launched their first product on Producthunt recently this month. And it was quite a good learning experience for us. We aimed for being the top product of the day but we ended up being 4th and still it was an amazing experience. For now, I guess we won't be launching any more products this year as we did get a handful number of leads through the launch and it was quite a success for us in terms of our final goals. But we did learn a lot of things about the algorithm. I would suggest if you are planning on launching your product, kindly make sure that the people who are gonna support you are already active on Product Hunt and have some activity points too as it can help a lot having old supporters to upvote your product instead of having all new accounts upvoting your product. And plus you can use social media r platforms to ask for support as product hunt allows you to ask for support on other platforms unless you are not directly asking people to upvote. Good luck with the launch and do let me know I would be happy to support :)
Sergei Petrov
@muhammadhariskhan Thank you for your support, your story and advice. This is very important to us and I appreciate that you are ready to help! You can see to see some details here now - https://www.producthunt.com/upco...
Sergei Petrov
@muhammadhariskhan By the way, about new accounts and social networks. What if a person wants to learn about us and possibly support us, but he was not registered on the producthunt?
Haris Khan
@sergeipetrov So I was just saying that you have two type of support groups for your product hunt launch. 1) The people who are already using product hunt and are not marked as new accounts with a balloon badge next to their name. When these kind of people support you by upvoting and commenting the algorithm gives your product more ranking and weightage globally. 2) The second group of people is that who are not yet on product hunt but are gonna sign up on product hunt and support by upvoting and commenting and would be marked as new accounts with a balloon badge next to their name. When these kind of people support you, their votes and comments are still registered but the overall ranking and weightage is effected comparatively less but still something is better than nothing. So what happened with us we were second in terms of number of votes and etc. But overall we were marked 4th product of the day. And when we analyzed the situation it was that the product which made it to the first had more upvotes and comments from mature and active product hunt users while our product had more upvotes and comments from new users.
Sergei Petrov
@muhammadhariskhan Thanks for the detailed answer. As I understand it, people here have a weight expressed in points. The more points, the more impact a person makes by leaving a comment or an upvote. They say that even the intensity of attention to the product matters. That is, 10 upvotes during the day have less weight than the same 10 made in an hour. Although in fact, it is important for us to check how attractive and useful our product is for people. The number of upvotes and the place of popularity is just a nice bonus. At the same time, the more popularity, the more people will see us and we will get more feedback. Ahh, everything is complicated and interconnectedπŸ˜‚ And how is your project doing now, after the launch on producthunt? By the way, how long ago did you start?

Geeze, I don't even know off hand, it really depends on the time it takes to work on the current projects. I've got another one in the works now and another couple after that. I'm looking to launch another 2-3 services/products by EOY though.
Sergei Petrov
@j5p looks like you are busy and charged for success. This is amazing!😎 Good luck with your launches. May there be more of them!

Just 1. But it's a big one ;)
Sergei Petrov
@skosmach Sounds impressive. πŸ˜€ What is your project about?
Ustad e Quran Online Academy
I am Blogger and I am planning to Launch 2 new websites in his years and I think Launching new website is also similar to Launching a new product.
Sergei Petrov
@ustadequran Sounds good. What are the topics of these sites?
Alex Robinson
Just the one for us! But it'll be a big one!
Sergei Petrov
@alex_vidon_ai Impressive! An interesting project. Do you have templates for creating various videos? When are you planning to launch?
