We use Slack, Google Meet and also our Coffee-Breaks to stay in touch with our colleagues. On top we meet in person once in a while.

@busmark_w_nika Whatsapp feels too casual for me - it bleeds into my personal life too much!

@nik_hazell yeah, it is actually how you say (but in previous work like 4 years ago we used it a lot). But now, I use it fro chat groups.

I'd use planes. Kidding, I use Discord instead of Google Meet, because the quality of the meeting is way higher.

For day-to-day operations: Google Meet, regular virtual coffee breaks, Slack (highly recommend team huddles!). For after-hours (if that's what you want to do) we did some remote party games, movie screenings or gaming.
@olga_jakubowska1 Thanks for sharing! Wich coffee-break solution do you use?
@marvin_maendle Hi! Tbh we just use Meet for coffee breaks, what I meant was that they are scheduled in our calendars and are happening on a regular basis. In the past I remember experimenting with a virtual space platform, but I can't recall the name and we only used it once or twice, Meet turned out to be more convenient.

To connect remote workers effectively, I'd recommend leveraging a combination of communication tools like Slack for real-time messaging and Zoom for face-to-face meetings, ensuring that everyone stays on the same page and feels part of the team. Additionally, regular virtual team-building activities can foster a sense of community and engagement among remote employees.
