Is advertising on Product Hunt worth it?

Hey, I'm Cici from Momen. We are launching officially on November 17th. I wanted to ask if Product Hunt ads are worth it and if I should consider running ads after our launch? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

@ciciyu_momen Good question and congrats for launching. It’s really depends on who is the user in my opinion. If the product is focusing on startups, product hunt could be a good place to start

Curious to know - I often wonder if users are finding products on here as much as say google for example.

@dzaitzow Finding products can be different. On Product Hunt, it's mostly through rankings, while on Google, it’s all about SEO. Honestly, in the long run, SEO on Google seems like the better choice.

Im planning to launch my product, which is already live locally, on producthunt as well and one of my friends who is founder of a good company suggested thats its a good way to get international traction. He recommended to try the ads as well. FYI, he scaled his Saas internationally using producthunt and now he’s got more than 30% of the customers that are from non target countries.
