Sorry, but posting 1000 AI-generated articles is not how you win SEO in 2023. Posting high-quality articles is not an option, too. Most of the keywords (even niched) have become too competitive, especially for solo and inside founders. But we found a solution: creating simple Free tools. It took us less than 2 months to rank #1 by popular requests. And the outcome is better than expected: we get around 100 emails every day. πŸ›  Simple how-to: 1. Find mid-competitive keywords. That will be your tool name. 2. Build a simple tool with no-code. It should take less than 1 week: calculator, generator (API call to OpenAI), recommendation tool, etc. 3. Double down on product launch. You'll get featured in AI-related newsletters and directories for free & without any effort from you. 4. Promote your paid product inside this free tool (or create an upsell email chain). 🎯 Our results with this strategy: β€” increased our revenue from 5K/Mo to 20K/Mo in 5 months β€” 6,480 clicks on not-branded keywords from SEO β€” 1M+ views on TikTok/Reels/Shorts on autopilot (without outreach or budget, influencers love talking about free tools) β€” 50+ newsletter features (not sponsored) πŸš€ The tools results: 1. Value Proposition Generator (https://founderpal.ai/value-proposition-generator) β€” 1 month old β€” 8981 unique visitors β€” 1589 emails collected 2. Business Ideas Generator (https://founderpal.ai/business-ideas-generator) β€” 3 months old β€” 16,255 unique visitors β€” 1027 emails collected 3. User Persona Generator (https://founderpal.ai/user-persona-generator) β€” 5 months old β€” 81,683 unique visitors β€” 11,002 emails collected P.S. we recently launched a detailed course about this strategy. This is called "Sidecar apps" I think πŸ€” But with all growth hacks they work for a while and then stop working. I think the only timeless way to build traction is to build great things. And great things are usually not easy. If it's easy, it's not worth building IMO.

@sentry_co what stops you from building useful AI wrappers? πŸ˜‚ IMO bad mindset, you can not build skyrockets being an indie/solo founder. That's why it's better to start small and focus on solving one problem.

@basv I definitely should make Ai wrappers. I really want to! It kinda sucks that this whole revolution is happening and im tied to something else. Just my luck! πŸ˜‚....but if I did, it would be the main focus of the endeavour, not a sidecar project. I think if your main breadwinner isn't good enough to hold its own, you should maybe rethink the value prop or start on something new. maybe an AI wrapper. Some of thee wrappers will be huge!

This is really really impressive, after seeing all your result I'll try to do that on my own too! The most complicated thing is to find the product itself, it's not that straightforward for every niche πŸ‘€ But I LOVE the idea, being a developer myself, this is the type of marketing I'd like to do πŸ˜‚

@anthony_riera1 haha yes, marketing without marketing is the best one 😎 It's not that complicated with the keyword strategy. If you're interested, check it out https://www.makerbox.club/ai-wra... 😊

Good one! I’m also working on something like that per each project. The challenge (that I see you overcomed) is to do the connection between a free generator and your product so you don’t spend dev costs on optimising it and then the user base stays the same.

Love the way you work on projects, Sveta. Nice to read the first article after getting back to PH after a long time. The best thing about your work is the speed you operate in, dude. After that, if there's something, then it's the way you brainstorm on how you can make it valuable an also profitable at the same time. You got the trial with AI wrappers, and then you found it working, and then you made more of it. When it worked, you sold the idea for free, created an implementation in no time, and made it LIVE for everyone at a good subscription. Just loved it! I think I need to think somehow similar to that as a creator and an entrepreneur here, and make it beneficial for everyone around.

I strongly agree. The drainage effect of small tools is intuitive and effective. In the past year, I have created 20+ tools, most of which are free web tools. It has increased my website traffic from 1k to 50k in last 6 month. All those tools are light and easy-to-use, so that users are more likely to bookmard and reuse it. Check it if you're interested: https://gemoo.com/tools/ And Iβ€˜ll launch another free tool for people to transform static images to dynamic ones in hours. πŸ₯³ Wish me luck!😁

What a fascinating approach! How do you identify mid-competitive keywords, and what criteria do you use to ensure they're effective for your tool names?

That's a very cool idea. Our company has built some small tools over the years but we have retired most of them. It might be time to revive a few of them that are in the same field as the app we are going to launch soon. We might get some qualified traffic from these tools!

Well done! What other no-code tools did you explore to achieve this, if any?
