We launched today. It's been a big day of outreach. Getting the word out by putting yourself out there is so important when you're trying to bring a new solution to the world.
What do you say?

@elise_sadu There should be some cases for secrecy—partnership with a big player or government, maybe. But I'm afraid it's more used as an excuse against possible copycats.

Well, if the new solution is already done and ready, besides putting yourself out there, I don't see what else could be #1 in this case! It's a no brainer ;D
But if I had to add something, the order of importance may vary depending on the context, it may be #1 in this context, but in the long term, it may not be anymore. In the end, the product will decide on the viability of the startup. You can be the greatest speaker but if the product doesn't do what it's supposed to and you don't have the potential and capacity to iterate your product, it ain't gonna run for long.
Probably, I would put it differently. Rather than putting myself out there, I would rather be able to know what people are worth being in touch with. You want quality over quantity.
