I love this question. I haven't been fired before, so I may not be qualified to chime in here, but fwiw there are positives to being let go. You don't want to work somewhere that doesn't value your work and if it's for performance reasons, there must have been something wrong with the role/company/situation that prevented you from excelling. Of course, it's difficult to generalize and I don't mean to downplay the pain (and sometimes unjustness) of being fired.

A very wise person once told me that the only way to get job security is to work on your personal brand. This way even though you might find yourself out of job overnight, you’ll still be able to find an alternative almost instantly 🤷‍♀️

Now layoffs are often due to companies trying to cut costs to show revenue growth to investors, in a situation where the economy is obviously not performing as well as it used to and inflation is making all the customers sad. The first to be laid off are usually middle managers and specialists who do not directly affect production. Unfortunately, this has already led to a deterioration in the quality of products, such as in the game industry. In any case, I believe that if you are fired, you should not be sad and do not treat it as something personal, as it is a mass phenomenon now. You need to pick yourself up and look for a new job or learn something new to become more valuable and earn more, or it's the long-awaited signal that it's time to start building your own empire brick by brick.

@abbas143official I admire the fact that you are raising issues that are so actual for many people, which are really important and can help people to cope with the period of uncertainty in their lives. We all need to help each other, because everything that is really important in life cannot be bought with money

We have a world here, “An ass kick is a step forward”, so if you liked what you were doing at the previous job, search another one. If not, make your own as Yannick said :)

Well, getting fired felt like my code just got a fatal error, but I took it as an opportunity to debug my career path and upgrade to a better version of myself!
