The biggest challenge in maintaining productivity as a maker is balancing focus with flexibility. On one hand, deep focus is essential for creating meaningful, high-quality work. This often requires long, uninterrupted stretches of time to fully dive into complex tasks or solve challenging problems. But on the other hand, the nature of being a maker often means handling a mix of creative ideation, iterative changes, and responding to feedback—all of which can interrupt that focus.

I would say the hardest is to stay focus and manage time effectively, it hard to have period of time to stay focus and be able to create high-quality works. So I personally prefer to do that early at the day or late.

Maintaining productivity as a maker often boils down to finding a balance between focus and flexibility. One strategy that has helped me immensely is setting micro-goals. Instead of tackling large tasks all at once, I break them down into smaller, time-boxed goals. This keeps me moving forward without feeling overwhelmed and gives a sense of achievement after each milestone. I also try to schedule deep work sessions with no distractions to tackle the most critical parts of projects. The mix of small wins and focused sessions is a productivity hack that’s been a game-changer!

Honestly, the biggest challenge for me is staying focused when there are too many distractions—ideas, notifications, or just life stuff. A hack that’s been a game-changer is time-blocking my day into chunks, with specific themes for each block. It helps me switch gears less and get into a proper flow. Would love to hear what’s working for others!
