Could you share the origin story of your start-up? Where did the idea come to life? Was it at a cafe, your home's terrace, a place as random as an elevator, or amidst a meeting at your workplace? β˜•πŸ

Just interacting with the internet and seeing how bad all security is on it

Fun question. For me it was on a walk in the East Los Angeles neighborhood of Eagle Rock. I had classic "idea fatigue", in that I had taken an idea to prototype in a short time and then left it on the shelf because I lost interest. It was an app like Splitwise, with native payments and such, but designed specifically for folks that live together. On that walk I just decided to focus my ideas in an industry I think about consistently (travel and hospitality), and started running on my current idea, which is a travel recommendations platform. It has held my attention for a much longer time period, and I've also started to look at my past ideas and evaluate if they make sense for this new travel app as well (Splitwise for travel?) I don't think it's the best idea I've had for an app, but, I think it's made me a better designer, it brings me joy to work on, and I think a launched app is overall better than a conceptualized app. How about you Sanjana?

@bradenfloris "Idea fatigue" is possibly one of the best ways for anything to happen! Well, coming up with an idea is an initial step of the initial step πŸ˜…. The best, learning and improvement happens from there on. Coming to Travel and Hospitality, these are industries that will last until mankind will. Truly enduring. Well, if I ever come-up with a start-up or business idea, it would definitely occur to me at the most random places possible. Probably while I'm commuting from one place to another, in the city, haha. That's when I think to myself the most. Thank you for sharing your story with me Braden!
