Which technology will replace email?

Google tried about 10 years ago with a real-time hybrid. It was really good, but didn't get enough users so they killed it off

To answer this question, one must understand the needs that emails address: - asynchronous communication - receiving notifications - identifying oneself / proving identity - staying informed (newsletters) - etc... If another technology can better meet all these needs, it will replace email. Otherwise, it's possible that a combination of several technologies, better suited to specific needs, may emerge. In any case, resistance to change will be difficult to overcome.

It is not going anywhere. i wonder, why this doubt came at this time period, where some offices still need hard copy of every email 😂😂

The thing about email is its seen as the professional standard. It just has a different tone for communicating compared to other platforms. So, no, i dont think any tech will replace it.

it is funny how people keep asking the same question Again and again and they have been asking it for decades now. and the fact is that email has been the only channel that has survived the test of time and all other social media channels have more or less vanished they will keep vanishing in the future as well social media platforms will come and go but email will remain the same. And peoples's perception about emails is not about to change anytime soon. so I think email is still a major professional communication platform irrespective of what people say!
