“Flowers for Algernon” - a science fiction novel by Daniel Keyes. The main topics: how intellect, ignorance, and emotions impact happiness; mental health, cruelty, and billing; intelligence, wisdom, and morality; aging, inevitable cognitive decline, and death. The novel is beautiful and heartbreaking, makes you question a lot you know about life and happiness.

@svitlana_bondarenko love that recommendation! Have you done Red Rising, Name of the wind or any of the Brian Sanderson (The Stormlight Archives Series) stuff? All really fun rides

@dzaitzow Never heard of Brandon Sanderson before, will definitely read his novel. I researched and found out that his four Secret Novels blew past $20M in its first 72 hours to become the most funded Kickstarter project of all time. I guess he is worth reading. Thanks for the recommendation.

@svitlana_bondarenko No worries at all haha! yea he has a cult like following - This guy Patrick Rothfess (I think is his name) who wrote name of the wind has an even bigger following of people waiting on the third book of his trilogy (Name of the Wind) - Those ones might be my favourite!

@dzaitzow Thanks for the recommendations. As a fan of science fiction and fantasy, did you read Isaac Asimov's classic science-fiction series, the Foundation? Truly amazing books.

@svitlana_bondarenko I read the first 2 yearrrssss ago but I've been thinking about revisiting when I get some time. I've recently been forcing myself to read non-fiction and its a lot less fun haha.

When I was young, I always watched the channel about how and what was happening in this world and found it attractive.
I recently enjoyed the TV show "The Boys". It's a dark comedy superhero show that explores the dark side of superheroes. I found it to be very entertaining and thought-provoking. I liked how it challenged the traditional superhero narrative and showed the negative consequences of having superhumans in our world.
Bala Balasubramaniam
The documentary 'My Octopus Teacher' moved me with its beautiful underwater storytelling and the connection between the diver and the octopus.

@mrbala_subramaniam Beautiful documentary about remarkable relationship with an octopus.

The new Fionna and Cake series. I'm an Adventure Time fan and it's great to have new shows with some of my favorite characters. I love Adventure Time for its post-apocalyptic storyline, ukulele music, animation, and playfulness. It's also something my whole family enjoys so it's so much fun to watch all together and discuss over dinner.

"Blood Meridian" by Cormac McCarthy. Still reading it, but holy moly, never thought I'd see such a depiction of violence and Wild West. You just need to read it, I don't want to spoil it, one of the few books that actually frightened me, And keep in mind that it's not a horror story, it's a realistic novel.

Watching 'Breaking Bad' was a rollercoaster ride through the transformation of its main character, Walter White.
