Amber is an Australian-based Bitcoin accumulation app that spawned an entire generation of DCA products around the world. We make it easy to Dollar Cost Average (DCA), auto-buy-the-dip, auto-withdraw, and accumulate the hardest money, scarcest asset on Earth.
More than 10 years since its launch Bitcoin is not only the best performing asset in history, but is well on its way to becoming the most reliable, global money ever.
Its immunity from inflation and the shenanigans of the fiat currency economy has been validated by not only the likes of legendary billionaire hedge fund managers like Paul Tudor Jones & Stanley Druckenmiller, but also by its inclusion on the balance sheet of a number of major publicly listed companies, most notably Microstrategy ($MSTR) who took $425m of cold hard cash and bought Bitcoin and Square ($SQ) who followed suit less than 2mths later with a cool $50m (you see the full list of publicly traded companies holding Bitcoin here)
With Amber, YOU can accumulate Bitcoin alongside both these giants of industry and your friends, your family and everyone else.
Back in 2014, 2015 and 2016, it was hard to buy Bitcoin.
With Amber, that’s changed.
This is why we set out to build it, and after almost 2yrs of working on this product we believe it’s the best on the market.
Whether you’re after simplicity and automation (go Amber Basic, it’s free), or smarter, more sophisticated features with better rates (upgrade to Amber Black), we have you covered.
Amber is Backed by a Major Australian University (QUT) and a series of incredible investors, including Morgan Creek Capital and Fulgur Ventures.
Aside from the Amber App, we’re here to support you through the content we produce and curate, whether on Medium or via the Bitcoin Times.
We look forward to serving you on your journey to build enduring wealth,
Aleks Svetski,
CEO @ Amber.

@aleksandar_svetski will the app include XRP/Eth/Stellar/other crytpo in the future?
@aleksandar_svetski Congrats on the PH launch! Great to see some QUT-backed companies thriving. Home town high fives!
Question: what are the first three steps you would recommend a new user (e.g. me) do in the app to really enjoy the process?
@aleksandar_svetski@davedri
Thanks Dave!
Been a long road but very much worth it.
1) link a bank account for DD much like a gym membership
2) set up a recurring investment (eg; $50/wk)
3) close the app & get on with your life, knowing that it’s working in the background 👌🏽
Wealth creation on autopilot
Such an easy way to dollar cost average, combined with a no-nonsense attitude where you're not inundated with "penny-stock" cryptos to coax you into trading and more fees. Why go anywhere else?
Hey @assembletv
Different to acorns in a few ways:
1) it’s bitcoin only
2) you actually buy bitcoin that you withdraw out to your own self custody (not a synthetic representation)
3) we don’t do the spare change stuff. That requires too much access into your bank account. So we keep it simple with direct debit, EFT, and soon; PayID & credit card.
Lastly. The schedule is set by you. The last thing anyone wants to do is “time” bitcoin purchases. It’s too wild. So your best option is to dollar cost average on a fixed schedule :)
@0xrudra Hey Rudra! We keep all of our funds in offline multi-sig cold storage. In other words no single party has access to any funds and release of funds requires multiple party authorization. It’s the safest method of storing bitcoin.

Hey @kelley_halpin1,
We won't be doing that at all.
I would strongly suggest a read of the blog I wrote where I discussed why indexing crypto is a bad idea.
It's entitled: "Amber is a Bitcoin business, not a crypto company"
I've tried linking it here but it won't let me :(
In short, it only increases volatility on an asset class that is already nascent. Because of the correlation of crapcoins to Bitcoin, "baskets" of crypto do the complete opposite of what diversification was originally intended to do, ie; lower volatility and give a better Sharpe ratio.
I would steer clear of anyone who claims baskets of crypto are a good idea. They're just trying to make fees off you.
Stick to Bitcoin. It's much better for your health & sanity.

Simple, elegant and effective app. Built for anyone who wants an easy and secure way to acquire bitcoin. I've been using this app from its beta version and extremely satisfied with the progress the team has made and how they have listened to the users feedback to build the most requested features. Keep up the great work Amber #legends for helping the average person easily and securely access bitcoin.
