Canua is the best way to keep your financial life organized. 17,000+ banks & brokerages in the US, Canada, UK, & EU, 260+ crypto and web3 sources, startup & private equity, real estate, and more. Track your net worth, investments, transactions, and docs.
Canua is great! I've uploaded all of my data and it's easy to track my net worth. There is currently a bug where I'm not able to add certain liabilities to my account, but the Canua team have been great at working with me to fix it. :-)
Love using Canua. It was easy to import my financial info from banks and other institutions in both the US and Europe. And it was beyond simple to prepare my FBAR—it's never been so easy before! Highly recommended.
Hi @erskingardner, congrats on the launch! Canua looks amazing.
Can I connect my company's bank accounts too or is it strictly for personal finance? As a contractor, my company is basically an extension of me and I pay out most of the profits as dividends to myself.
@dragocrnjac Thanks Drago! because Canua allows you to create multiple workspaces you can easily keep your personal and your business accounts in separate buckets. In the future, we have some really fun ideas for sharing data between workspaces but for now they are completely separate.
@dragocrnjac we don't yet cover Croatian banks (coming soon), but we have a really easy-to-use CSV importer so that you can import any bank account statement. The best part is that we'll remember the column mapping so that in the future, you just have to drop a new CSV file in and we'll know how to handle it.

Congratulations to the team! Awesome product! Is there a restriction on the number of people I can invite to my workspace?
@henriett_vacz Nope! No restrictions. Create as many workspaces with as many users as makes sense for your finances.

@erskingardner That's awesome; thanks for the reply! I also have many physical assets (e.g., jewelry). Can I add those to my financial portfolio and include those in the different calculations/charts?
@henriett_vacz Absolutely! We've gone to great lengths to make it really easy to add any sort of physical asset (real estate, precious metals, jewellery, etc) to Canua, and we track those (along with the price you originally paid for them) alongside all your other investments.
I love the idea of being able to share my account with my accountant, and I also like the idea of automating things. I've been thinking about trying out Copilot. Would you say that this is similar or different to Copilot? Would someone use both tools, and what does Canua bring to the table that Copilot does not?
@britt_joiner Great question Brittany! I'm glad you're keen on how we might help you work with financial professionals as that's something we definitely plan to do a lot more of soon.
Re: Copilot, first off, I think it's a great tool, but I believe there are a few big differences. First Copilot is more geared towards budgeting and spend tracking for individuals with fairly straightforward finances. At Canua, while it's still early for us, our plan is to address financial complexity that arises from things like multiple income sources, very diverse investment portfolios, startup equity, crypto, etc. We also are fully global and currency agnostic, which Copilot is not. In the near future, we'll be releasing automations that help you manage your finances more actively instead of just seeing everything in one place.
Happy to chat more on those differences if you want. :) Thanks again for the support!
@britt_joiner I think so! Connecting all your accounts and adding assets like your house and liabilities like a mortgage would give you a very clearer picture of your total finances.
My guess is that, over time, your financial complexity will grow as Canua grows, at which point the automations and access to financial professionals from right in the product will be huge sources of value for you.
I’m so excited that I’ll finally be able to track and manage all my accounts, investments, and crypto in the same place!
Is there an option to invite my wife so she can take a look at our finances too?
@andras_zollai Thanks for the support András! Yeah – you can invite other people to your workspace or create multiple workspaces so you can keep all your finances organized just like you would with docs in Notion.
First off, thank you @nickabouzeid for hunting us!
I'm thrilled to be launching Canua on Product Hunt today. As makers, builders, creators, and side-hustlers; many of us aren't living the standard single-employer existence. And when you combine multiple income streams with the revolution in retail fintech & investing that has brought us free brokerage apps, cryptocurrencies, one-tap credit, and neo-banks for every possible use case, you can easily see why past solutions for managing our finances just don't cut it any longer.
We're building Canua to make organizing even the most complex & global financial lives easy. Our mission is to help you achieve financial freedom & freedom from your finances. Today, we're launching the home for your financial data.
✨ Invite others to your workspace. Create separate workspaces for yourself, your businesses, or your investment vehicles.
✨ Sync with 17,000+ banks & brokerages in the US, Canada, UK, and EU. Import a CSV of transactions to manually track any account we don't yet sync with.
✨ Sync with 260+ crypto data sources, including exchanges, self-hosted wallets, and blockchains.
✨ Track startup & private equity, including options, RSUs, RSAs, Angellist, angel investments, etc.
✨ Track real estate, vehicles, and any other tangible asset you want to own.
✨ Track liabilities & loans.
✨ Track important documents and associate those docs with the related assets & liabilities.
✨ Explore your net worth & investments in easy-to-understand charts.
🔒 We have read-only access to your synced accounts and we encrypt in-transit, at-rest, and also separately encrypt sensitive fields with a separate key. That’s 33% more encryption than every other tool out there.
🤑 Today, we’re launching Canua for FREE. We’ll introduce paid plans in the next few months but, if you sign up via ProductHunt you’ll keep your free account until the end of Dec 2023.
Today, we give you visibility with the first global & currency-agnostic platform for personal finance. Soon, we'll help you automate everything. 😉
Until then, we'd love to have feedback from the community and hear where you'd like us to take Canua next!
🙌🏼 Thanks in advance for the feedback, the questions, and for being so supportive!
I like the idea of control my own financial life, but I don't wanna give access to third-party apps.
You guys must be using Plaid or something like that to track all the data (which is sensitive to me).
Congrats on the launch and good luck.
@haserk thanks for that feedback. I completely understand the point of view. Financial data is some of the most sensitive data that we all have.
Even though we're still very early, we've already thought a lot about how to keep customers' data safe. The place that we've started is by encrypting in 3 different ways; in transit (everyone does this), at rest (some products do this), and running another layer of column-level encryption on sensitive data fields using a different key (no one I know of does something like this).
I'm happy to hear more feedback on this from anyone on this topic. I know that we'll have to build trust in this area over time. Just know that we're not shying away from that in the least bit. We will be very proactive about doing everything we can to keep our customers' data safe and earn that trust.
@haserk Hello! I'm Luis, one of the developers behind Canua. I'm the guy that worked around the column level encryption and just like you I'm quite concerned about my privacy online. Canua does rely on third party providers to do automated synchronizations indeed, although for users that prefer not to go in the loop we also support manual input flows where you can introduce your assets by yourself or use a csv importer (which I also worked a lot in) to create your accounts manually by importing the transactions.
This way you can still experience what we do without relying on third parties. Hope it helps! (:
Really excited to see this. Wish it was available for Croatian banks too. I know, small market :).
Good luck Jeff. Let's hope you succeed enough to reach our banks too!
