Great Idea! Ask yourself why WOULDN'T you do this? With COP26 happening right now and governments being too slow, the private sector needs to step up. What better way to do it than a plug and play like this :)

@product_at_producthunt Hey Michael! Thanks for the feedback and the thoughtful question. At the end of the day, crypto projects like Klima and Carbon Neutral Club have the same goal. To alter the incentive structure consumers and businesses face with hopes to trigger near-term climate action. We've just gone about achieving that goal from different angles. Our focus at Carbon Neutral Club is to help consumers understand which behaviours are impacting their emissions footprint, and incentivize them to change those behaviours and funnel their spending to support lower environmental impact options. End of the day, climate change needs many solutions, not one. Consumer, businesses and government all need incentives applied to them to force a shift in thinking. We applaud Klima's innovative model and how it could trigger a behavioural shift in how offsets are used!

The Design of Influence: How to Craft Products that Move People

Yaaas! This is what we need to see more of. 👏🏽 There are exciting places this can go. Some ideas: - build a Chrome extension that, like Honey, suggests savings at the point of sale for greener alternatives from the growing list of vetted companies you guys are creating - build a mail-client plugin that reads invoices and calculates a carbon footprint for your self that you set as a target to beat the next month - give members an online social badge that displays them as digital Carbon Neutral advocates across platforms I'm sure you guys have thought of a lot more/better ideas. Congrats on the launch!

@alirtariq Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment and suggestions. I'll respond to each of your ideas below! 1. Chrome Extension: Fantastic idea. We have plans in the future to be able to provide a carbon comparison for all of the products offered via CNC in comparison to the industry average. This will allow our members to be able to see the impact that they are having with each purchase! 2. Mail-Client Plugin: This is very interesting and not something that we have yet to think of or document! There are services out there that could make this a reality, so it has been added to our backlog to explore further! 3. Social Badge: It's coming!
