Very cool! I have a question: do/will you include companies building and delivering digital products? Thinking of NFTs, mobile apps, companies leveraging AI (which has a remarkable carbon footprint considering servers and so on)? I saw you have a cloud computing vertical, but just double checking with you. Regardless, congratulations on the launch!

Hi @jenny_romano - great question! We definitely see these companies as clear potential users of the API as well as potential data providers, whereby they can disclose the carbon intensity of their products via our ecosystem. This will join the numbers we already have for the major cloud computing providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). If the development of digital products is informed by robust carbon intelligence, good decisions can be made to drive down emissions either by the products/services themselves or by those choosing amongst them as service providers. And after all - Climatiq is one of these digital companies - so we intend to do exactly this ourselves!

Thank you for your reply, and I completely agree with you on the importance of developing products with a robust carbon intelligence in place. I think what's difficult (especially in the early stages) is getting started. You build something new and you focus on making it work, but you don't know if (I'll oversimplify, pardon me) by changing your code, by making it more efficient, etc. you can have a direct impact on carbon emissions. I feel there's often lack of awareness on the impact digital products have on the environment, let alone of how to quantify and fix it. Anyway, great work, I look forward to seeing how you'll evolve!
