Dabster helps teams that pursue a mentoring and learning culture switch from sharing knowledge to a skill-centric learning approach. Mentors can organize and turn their knowledge into skills and steps to assign them to newcomers to improve adoption or current employees to enhance their skills.
Hey Product Hunters 👋
I’m Artem, co-founder of Dabster.
Special thanks to @kevinwdavid for hunting us 🤝
Happy to introduce a platform that allows teams to build learning tracks for their employees to grow and enhance their knowledge.
I’m a huge believer that it’s necessary for team members to see where they are going — in other words, the company’s vision on employee development plan. So, how to transform a business goal into a learning path?
This idea was challenging for me. I wanted to find a way to onboard newcomers that will facilitate both learning and business goals.
My team and I realized that the best way to do it is to switch from knowledge sharing to skill-based learning. That’s what I have been doing for the last 10 years — I used a skill-based approach to make sure everyone in a team gets everything that is necessary for their growth.
✨Thus, it becomes easier to:
- Engage and retain newcomers. You can build their learning tracks using skills as building blocks;
- Share experience. Pack skills of the best teammates in learning tracks for others.
- Capitalize knowledge. New employees can see that there is a 2-year learning plan to become a pro vs. no vision at all (usually).
And yes, there is no need to pre-invest time to build a whole library of skills. You can build it on the go in Dabster while your team is growing.
So if you and your team are into a learning culture, give Dabster a try.
⚡ That’s what we’re also planning to implement in Dabster in the nearest future:
- Give teams ability to contribute to skills together;
- Create a community hub to share skills;
- Create skill levels within a learning path;
- Provide events to fit demand for your learning culture;
- Find a way to support skill providers in a community.
There is a free plan you can get right now. No trial period. Just create your account and give a try to skill-centric learning.
As we’re still in the process of building the product, your honest feedback and support are highly appreciated! In the end, you decide what changes we should bring 😊

@art_nik congrats guys! Looks riveting. It can definately help to devise a long-term career growth plan for the teams to reduce turnover rates and increase involvement to drive higher productivity. Looking forward to further enhancements.
@daria_dvornikova thx! Yeah, now it takes a bit of effort, to fill up library and build tracks. In next versions, we will bring in ready to go templates.

@art_nik Will keep following you for sure to learn more about it)
@alex_dolgov thx! Nice question. To be honest, the main competitor is time needed to start building up team library. As you consume time now and tomorrow and benefits of building up mentor culture are in a couple of months ahead. So i'm puzzled to solve this middle gap, to help getting value right now. And in this field we will start to compete with knowledge bases like notion. But might this is my delusion:)
