Hi Product Hunt! I'm Robert Salvador, Cofounder & CEO of DigiBuild 😃 First, thank you to @mwseibel and @Ycombinator for hunting us. Construction companies don't trust each other. Blockchain builds trust. Our software provides construction end-users with 10X more automation, transparency, and data insights than they currently have. WHY DID WE MAKE THIS? This industry is difficult. I grew up in construction and my dad owned a small company. As a SMB, I watched him struggle and get beat down for years. Cofounder April Moss’ father was also in construction and owned a company. The punishing conditions eventually led to him taking his own life when April was only 8 years old. This is personal. Truly excited to be on Product Hunt!! Thank you @mwseibel and @Ycombinator. It’s a rare opportunity to be part of a great team applying revolutionary blockchain technology to improve a critical global industry like construction. We all have roots in construction and trades. My father was an electrician. I remember helping run ‘live’ wires on Sundays as a kid. Crazy I know. Then, I started my first business at 19 as a residential and commercial painting contractor and over 5 years and with 20 employees I put myself through college. One of the biggest questions I had to address when I joined DigiBuild, was creating an understanding between blockchain and cloud databases given we are the first company to build construction software powered by blockchain. Only blockchain creates a single, verifiable set of information and documents so that all project stakeholders work from the same information. In an industry where dis-trust and disputes are common this is game-changing. We can reduce dispute expenses by 90%. Then there is automation of workflow and paperwork like lien waiver contracts which eliminates 70% of the paperwork and speeds up invoicing 4X faster! That’s why we are building DigiBuild’s suite of products.

Construction projects can be a real mess. It is true that most of the projects go beyond budget and timing. Hope that Digibuild will solve a huge problem.

I am absolutely thrilled with the opportunity to be a part of Product Hunt. I wanted to thank @mwseibel and @Ycombinator. Our team at DigiBuild is working hard to improve the construction industry and the lives it serves in a momentous way. Construction is in some of my earliest and fondest memories. My father was a sub-contractor in Pennsylvania, and I remember visiting job sites as earlier as 5. Although my father loved the work, I also witnessed, firsthand, the mental health challenges construction can have on a person and a family caused by the inconsistent work schedules and payment disputes. Fast forward, after a successful 21-year career with Procter & Gamble, I joined one of the largest sales and marketing companies in North America where I met and hired Rob Salvador. And yes, you would be correct in assuming it’s the same Rob Salvador who is the blockchain in construction guru leading DigiBuild (funny how that works). We worked directly with many top 33 Commercial Product Group companies. As part of the executive leadership, the majority of my time was focused on corporate retail strategy, acquisitions and integration, new business development teams and creating partnerships that included two large crowd sourcing companies. One of the biggest challenges I faced, when Rob asked me to build out the organization and create strategic partnerships was learning an entirely new industry. With an incredible team with over $5 Billion in construction project experience, it’s been a smooth transition. What I am most excited about, when I consider my youth and my father’s struggles, is that DigiBuild offers the opportunity to create trust and reliability in an unreliable industry. Only blockchain creates a single, verifiable set of information and documents so that all project stakeholders work from the same information. In an industry where dis-trust and disputes are the norm, and this is game-changing.

Excited about this product. It's going to change the construction industry, bringing efficiency and transparency to all projects!

Great intro @robert_salvador! Since I joined DigiBuild and started learning about the construction industry, it's struck me how much space there is to build innovative solutions for customer problems. It's great to be a part of it.
