Hey Product Hunt 👋 Thanks for featuring us here. Special thanks to @kevin for making this happen. Buying insurance in India can be a perilous affair. There's the inherent complexity in the product itself, lack of standardization, greed, misselling and the most annoying bit - Spam Calling. Ditto was born to solve these very problems. We are not perfect and we have a long way to go, but we are building tools that we truly believe can help India buy better protection products. We already have simplified policy explainers, customized checklists for people looking to buy a product on their own and an army of advisors who handhold hundreds of people each day while they go about purchasing insurance. I bought a Insurance thru Ditto. Had a long conversation in WhatsApp with the Ditto Agent. I took couple of days to analyze and shortlist the best plan. Meanwhile there was no push "To SELL" from Agent he patiently answered all my queries. Finally had Google Meet to purchase the policy. I have added couple of additional riders. The Agent asked me to keep some and remove the rest and explained why those riders are unnecessary. After taking the policy there were some hiccups from Insurance company and the agent escalated the same and resolved it. Thank you much appreciated.

Bought term life insurance through Ditto around last month. No spam calls is what they promise, and no spam calls is what you get. I really liked this aspect of ditto. Was a very smooth experience overall 💯

Absolute not happy with their service. I live abroad and bought term insurance as per the suggestion of Ditto. After a severe thought purchased the Insurance and until the payment was complete and insurance was issued, there was no discussion about GST Refund. By the time I knew the info, they said getting a refund was impossible. After a lot of cry, they agreed to process it under special consideration. After almost 3 months of hassle and sharing of multiple documents and statements, the final verdict was No GST Refund as payment was performed using an NRO Savings account and not an NRE Savings account. The agent either had no clear idea of what info was supposed to share or they are trying to hide this information for some kind of benefit. Individually I am not happy with their service and certainly would not recommend purchasing a policy through them. Better do your homework and use their service or stay away from them.
