What do you think? …

I like it, but it’s extremely overpriced, for what it is...a list of bookmarks. You already know this by the low number of upvotes. I’d pay $9.99 to own the app and use it forever, but $29.99 a year is just a joke! Good luck 🍀

@lucky_jeffman Thanks for the honest feedback. Perceived value is different from person to person. I built the app to address a particular need, and I know how much I feel that solution is worth. I also know what is on the roadmap and what features will eventually be in the app. This is only month 2 of its public existence, so there’s plenty of time for things like price to adapt and settle.

@joshhrach Are you familiar with Things 3? I own and adore it! I can easily store a list of links, there. Not sure how you are justifying such absorbent price, though? I also adore DoMarks!! Are you saying you are worth more money than Things 3? I don’t believe you will can gain any traction if you expect us to pay $29.99 a year, for life, to make a list longer than 15 items. This no more than a $9.99 one time purchase app! If it was, I’d have already purchased it! I do wish you luck trying to rub elbows with the millionaires. Nothing wrong with a cash grab💰

@lucky_jeffman I have heard of but haven't tried Things 3. (Edit: I just looked them up. Looks like it's $70 to unlock the app across all platforms.) I understand what you're saying about the price. As more features get added in, I hope that will help with justifying whatever the price is. As I said before, price is not permanent, and there are things I need to test with it this year to see how people respond to various price points. A lifetime unlock option is also planned (once I see how the sub prices end up leveling out to). I honestly am not trying to make this a cash grab. This is an app that has helped improve my organization and productivity, and there are lots of improvements I, too, want to see in such an app. I have at least 6 feature updates planned for this year alone, and this obviously does not include support for new APIs or devices that Apple will announce this year. I'm in this for the long haul. My pricing is intended to reflect that. If it needs to be adjusted and adapt, so be it. But this isn't intended to help me "rub elbows with the millionaires". It's to help me as a single income husband and father provide for my family of 4.

I found myself keeping too many tabs open in my browser. Why did I keep it open? I needed an app to give those links context. That's why I built DoMarks.
Matt Apperson
Really cool idea! just used it as a batter way to manage my many pinned tabs I have been using as a todo list of websites lol

Good start! @joshhrach How about this: create a middle layer to export the tabs as links from any browser, desktop or mobile. Add exports to any notes app (Evernote, Apple Notes) and introduce free search between devices and notes. Charge people for amount of data they store and store data for limited time (iCloud model). Profit.

@eugenehp Thanks for the suggestions. Import/Export is one of the features I'm working on for this summer. Ideally, I'd like to support most browsers and their exported bookmarks. Search also is coming. Share option was added to each Mark, and I'll improve that, too. http://random-projects.com/2021/...

@joshhrach Awesome!
