Slack is the artery that connects global teams, customers and partners at various organizations. The impact of microaggressions, bias, and exclusion builds up over a period of time, and it is impossible to trace this to a single event. These could lead to heavy costs to the company with increased attrition, reduced customer engagement or cost of managing incidents. Read: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/b... At the same time, inclusive communication can lead to increased brand loyalty, recall and upsell. Read - https://advertiseonbing-blob.azu... We have built an ally that can help people create inclusive communications on Slack. Some features that makes Dost special are: 1) On Slack, Dost does not work on 1:1 messages. It only works on channels where it is configured. 2) Channel users can add / delete the app from their channels if they like. Only the sender gets the flag, discreetly. No one else, including the admin, will know that a message was flagged. 3) No user information is accessed or stored. 4) No messages are stored in our systems. So, there is no mechanism to either trace the flagged message or user credentials. 5) Sender gets a flag, but the decision to edit is with the sender. The app does not decide anything. 6) The tool is used to educate the sender about unconscious biases that could cause harm, and learn. Companies spend a lot of time on one-off training on appropriate language and issue guidelines already. 7) We have employed a reputed third party company to do a detailed audit of the above principles, through DB review, code review and application testing. This report is available to be shared with companies on demand.

@kesavan Dost looks very promising. For someone who does a lot of graduate hiring, this seems like a hands off way of avoiding unintended harm in internal communication
