I live here in Austin and can vouch for both Fare and Fasten. Fare is perfectly fine alternative to Uber w/ better interface than Fasten, but Fasten is much better if you want a higher-end car/SUV.

RideAustin may be a better option with how aggressive Fasten is being in marketing the event. There may be too much demand.
After being in Austin for a few days for SXSW I am now a fasten user. However that is not a good thing. I found it to be a horrible experience on the UI front to the point I won't come back. Once the app wasn't involved the service was actually great but too much friction and head-against-wall bashing to go back to it.
