Hi Product Hunt, Tom here, co-founder of Feeting.app.
We started to build Feeting because we wanted to escape video meetings or meeting rooms and get some activity, fresh air, and sunshine instead.
The Problem:
- We found ourselves in more and more video meetings (zoom fatigue).
- We sat more and moved less.
- It became more and more challenging to manage both personal and professional expectations.
The Solution:
How cool would it be if we could combine the useful with the convenient? We're anyway having meetings, what if they could be audio-only, hands-free and optimized for walking? With this thought, the idea of Feeting was born. Invite some colleagues, put in some earbuds and experience how more focussed, creative, productive and fun your meetings are.
We explored all kinds of possibilities and solutions to give the optimal walking meeting experience. Seamless inviting straight from Outlook or Google Calendar. Instead of a simple call, you'll easily hop in or hop out of your own spatial audio room, with all your colleagues around you and with clear audio cues that guide you through the feeting.
What about note-taking you might think? Hands-free of course. :-) With Feeting you'll get your own AI assistant that automatically summarizes outcomes like important topics, follow-ups, actions, sentiment and speaking times (Feeting Gemsβ’) right after your Feeting.
We have some awesome ideas on our roadmap that will take your walking meetings to a completely different level. We're on a mission to create happier and healthier work environments and we hope you'll enjoy your feetings as much as we do.
Big thanks go out to @benln for hunting us, our early investors, all the CoffeeCall users and believers, and our entire team.

Feel free to ask about Feetingβor anything really! And, be sure to let me know what you think! Thank you very much!

@benln@tom_suter Great idea for an app! Answers a problem I was recently chatting about with my team. I'd love to try it, but the challenge I see is that the whole organization is on MS Teams, so my only way of trying that out is in our 1-on-1s. That said, I hope to give it a shot in the next few weeks!
@benln@mrleszczynski Thanks for your kind words Michal! We totally see what you mean and it's time to disrupt MS Teams with a cooler, seamless and less corporate experience. Give it a shot and let me know how it worked for you.
@benln@tom_suter This is an interesting idea. Here's to not sitting glued to your desk for the entire day during meetings. The only issue I have is with things like screensharing - there would be no way to implement it in the audio-only format yet it's incredibly useful. How do you address this issue?
@benln@maya_ovice good question! We're very hesitant to add some sort of screen-sharing functionality where you would have to pull your phone out of your pocket all the time. The feedback we got so far is that users really like the hands-free experience for everybody. So far it worked out quite well with lots of meetings. The conversations get deeper and more focused.
On the other side, we might find a good solution a little bit later down the line when AR glasses could get more common. Do you have an idea how it could ideally work for you?

I will say Feeting.app is an amazing creation. The iOS version is working so well.
Congrats for the launch & thanks to the whole team.
Big fan of walking meetings. Need more of these.
But I have to ask, @tom_suter: Why use this over Slack/Zoom/FaceTime audio? Perhaps it's all about the context you're setting. Every network or tool has defaults and expectations that nudge or directly guide its users.
@rrhoover great question Ryan, thanks for raising it. One of the benefits of feeting is indeed that it sets the expectations right from the start.
Besides that, we don't want to offer a normal group call, but a spatial experience, where you have your attendees around you in the feeting. So Bill is coming from the right and Maria from the left (for instance).
We also want to stimulate health benefits, so we give insights into how many steps you did together, which distance, CO2 savings, etc.
The last thing our private beta users liked a lot were the Feeting Gemsβ’: A cool summary of the most important outcomes of the Feeting. Things like sentiment, hot topics, questions, follow-ups, actions and speaking time.
Let me know how you experience it and if you have any other good feedback or questions for us. Thanks!
@rrhoover You're lucky π! Feeting also works in more noisy environments with lots of traffic or strong winds btw. We try to block all background noise and with Voice Isolation it works really cool.

The idea itself is great, I think the whole world is already sitting at home in front of the screens :) If you really have an AI assistant working, that's cool. Did I get it right that after the meeting everyone gets a report or set goals, this is also tracked in the application?
@igor_lushkin Thanks for your kind words, Igor. Currently, it works like this: the organizer of the Feeting can switch on/off the gathering of the Feeting Gems. Those are the most important outcomes of the feeting. Think about things like actions, follow-ups, questions, topics, sentiment and speaking times. It works currently only for English conversations, but we've different languages on our roadmap. Everybody who was part of the Feeting gets those Feeting Gems afterwards. We're adding very soon click-through to full transcript of the Feeting, so everyone can also see the context in the case it isn't clear directly. Let us know how you experience it and what we can do better to provide you with more value.

@tom_suter Now I get it, thank you. The idea of adding a full transcript is super, if anyone doesn't understand something, there's a way to look it up. Good luck!
@igor_lushkin Indeed. We launched the first version of that right now, but there are many improvements and additions in the pipeline. Also we want to offer different languages than English in the near future. Hope you enjoy it.
@yvishwachaitanya@rucha_joshi8 that's great to hear Rucha. We hope you like Feeting as much as we do. We're very curious about how you experience it. Let us know.
btw Tom, we launched Drunk Start-ups today. Also aimed at remote teams :)
Itβs a team-building activity in the form of a whacky white-boarding exercise.
would love to hear your thoughts on the same.

I really enjoy my Feetings:
> Turns your meetings in to better ones
> You get easy to your 10'000 steps a day
> It's a fresh new approach for the todays reality
And finally: It's easy to adopt, you don't have to change a lot, just make the next meeting to a feeting!
@marc_stoffel Hi Marc, out of curiosity, which kind of meetings would you ideally convert into a feeting?

@tom_suter looks like someone's dedicated to give us our lifes back! Two thumbs up! ππΌππΌ This idea takes online meetings to a level where they truely start adding value - one can finally focus on content again, instead of worrying about looks. π
@marco_bichsel Cool!! Yes exactly that. Get some freedom back! Thanks for your reply Marco!

@tom_suter@marco_bichsel how true!!!! How annoying to always know you are observed. I hated it ever since (also to turn off the own view does not help too much). Thanks for your words!
