@glen_creaser it's early days, so right now a) it's open source (so full transparency into code, ability to contribute to roadmap, etc.), b) you can self-host (important if you're working in an enterprise or environment that doesn't allow SaaS tools, or where SaaS tools take forever to get approved and are super expensive, c) the Focalboard Personal Desktop version can run locally on your desktop with the same MIT-licensed binary as the server edition--i.e. it's fast! Because it can run on your desktop as a single tenant server.

Great start! Are there plans for an IOS version coming ? iCloud or Dropbox sync of data?

@gaurav_monga no plans for mobile right now. It's a big lift, and we don't think we could offer a first class experience. Mobile is probably something we want to do after focalboard matures a bit. We are working on publishing a roadmap at some point, just don't have one ready yet. Thank you for the question!
