We found out that we were not alone when a valuable product was broken, stolen or lost, or when you sell it to somebody else, that receipts + other important information were nowhere to be found. Fryda is a free digital wallet that solves this, give it a try!

What do you think? …

Boudewijn Bos
Do you think this makes your life easier when it comes to storing receipts, warranty information, picture-proof that you own(ed) the product, or any other important information?
Narendra Solanki
Keeping track of receipts is so essential! 👏 Is there an option for physical receipts too, like scanning?
Maciej Zatorski
@narendra_solanki +1 :) I'd also love to learn what the answer is.
Boudewijn Bos
@mzatorski the scanning function is in the requirement pipeline 🚀 for now you can either take a picture of the receipt or upload a pdf/any document you like!
Boudewijn Bos
@narendra_solanki yes it is 💜 and we are on a mission to make it even easier - but for now you can either take a picture, upload an already taken picture or if you bought it online upload any form of document!

@narendra_solanki @mzatorski Hi, I tried out the app. You can take a picture of the physical receipt and store it in the app, @boudewijn_bos mentioned something about scanning being in the pipeline in another reply

Hi PH community, Its been a few hours since we launched and in a few hours the US will awake so we thought we would get another discussion going, lets see what you think: Discussion topic 1: What do you see this app help you most with? Option 1: Getting money back from the insurance Option 2: When you sell a product on the 2ndhand market and want to transfer all information to the new owner Option 3: Your own use case Discussion topic 2: What do you believe is the best/most automated solution for adding a product: Option 1: A button (like Apple Wallet) at the end of each purchase journey Option 2: Email scraper Option 3: Invoice parser Discussion topic 3: What business/industry should we partner with to make a big impact directly in the use of Fryda Option 1: Payments/industry (Klarna, Adyen, Stripe, etc) Option 2: Marketplace (eBay, Amazon, etc) Option 3: E-comm platforms (Shopify, Woocommerce, etc) It would be of course amazing if you have time to comment something about all discussion topics, but a second of your time spent on one of these topics would mean the world to us!

We also made a YT short to explain why people can use Fryda:
what do you think?

It's not only a way to store important documentation for yourself - Fryda also lets you transfer the ownership of a stored product's data. If you sell one of your objects you can send receipts, warranties, and manuals to the new owner with just a few clicks

@astro_lindh exactly 🚀

Hey @boudewijn_bos, I have a question: how and where would it be an advantage to use Fryda, instead of (for instance) privately storing receipts, screenshots, documentations and etc on a personal cloud? Why would one surrender that data to a free app that - pardon my French here - not even displays its Privacy Policy, User Data Privacy Protection or Terms of Service? I clearly understand the business model (not uncommon), but I am not sure I understand exactly which type of user problem is being solved and what's the real benefit for the user (not the business). PS: Not having those disclaimers above is sort of like a huge red flag, launch-wise. In saying that, I'm sure it's in your best interest to cover and address these. So, congratulations on the launch and best of luck.

@lyondhur morning! The issues we solve for the customer now are: 1) a system for storing of all purchase information (we do not do anything with this data/information) 2) transferring the data/product to a new owner when selling it so they will have all original purchase data And there are future USP’s for the customer where they can choose to share their data with an insurance provider if they want to insure their wallet. Regarding the T&C’s - these are displayed during the sign up process and can be found on the website - so if you missed those please have a look here: https://www.fryda.life/integrity Would love for you to become a Fryda customer at some point - is there anything else we could help with?

As you can see our digital wallet is free for consumers, so it will be businesses that will pay for our service eventually. What we do is add a button at the end of their checkout, so they can stay in touch with the products, even when they switch owners on the secondhand market. We are still looking for businesses that would like to pilot with us, do you know any business that would fit the following requirements: - Sell physical valuable products over 100 USD/EUR - The product they sell should have a resale value on the 2ndhand market - The products could be refurbished - The products could be serviced We are talking to telecom operators, automotive players, and sellers of e-bikes (very popular in Europe). Do you have/know any other kind of business that we could have a talk with?

@boudewijn_bos Bergerault, a French company making percussion instruments! I bought a second hand Bergerault marimba a few years ago. Service isn't required often, but if I would break one of the bars it'd be great to easily get in contact with Bergerault for a replacement bar.
Boudewijn Bos
@astro_lindh that’s amazing - I’ll have a look at them straight away!!
