Free phone number with an AI assistant that can answer the common requests coming into local businesses. You can customize when it answers, how it greets callers, when it forwards them to your main business line and more.
👋 Product Hunters!
Bob here, founder of Goodcall. I’ve spent much of my career working with local businesses. One of the easiest things we can do is help them answer the phone.
Why? Many local businesses miss up to 60% of their calls. ☎️
At the same time, most calls are for the same handful of requests (open hours, ordering food, etc.) That’s why we created Goodcall, a conversational AI assistant that can be set up in 5 minutes and seamlessly integrates into your existing phone.
Our Solo plan is free. You get a local phone number and can easily customize your Agent’s knowledge and behavior to reflect your business. We’re launching with 10 common “knowledge skills” ready out of the box and are eager to add more.
Our long term goal is to make AI accessible for local businsses. I’m not sure how many of you (friends/family) own or work for a small business but either way we’d love to get your feedback and make this thing better!
@sydney_royer we're trying to be legit about doing something positive. I know one of Bob's motivations comes from his days working on Ads at Google and seeing small businesses pay $$ for an ad click then not pick up the phone when a caller dialed them. Part of what makes Goodcall different is the free tier. We have costs associated with each phone number and call placed but if we can convert enough freemium users we're banking on that supporting our free tier. We can also train our models on the data from free users. Hopefully we're aligning a win/win for everyone.

This is a fun app... I wonder if you could build in a loyalty (coupon, discount) flow into the voice UX to create revenue focused outcomes for SMBs...
@chapterly we'd love to. We're trying to promote the "request a new skill!" button in the app as much as possible then follow customer demand to new features. Our guess is we'll see requests to a) support more caller requests (build more skills) , b) do deeper integrations like connecting to your table reservation system instead of referring callers to it. Something like working in a loyalty component kind of touches on both of those. Thanks for the cool idea.
