Hi, I’m Joe, the founder here at Universe, and I couldn’t be more excited to share GUS with the world. As of today, our AI-powered designer is available to everyone on iOS. GUS is a whole new way to make sites. Just have a quick conversation, share what you want to want to build and boom… you’ll have a fully custom website for anything you can imagine. You can make edits, add images, change colors, and more in our award-winning GRID editor. GUS (Generative Universe Sites) started with a hunch that generative AI could be used to radically expand who could build websites. After exploring the possibility space, we figured out how to use an LLM (GPT) to chat with a user, glean their intent, and send data to our platform to build a site. In the process, we learned what GPT is really good at (disambiguating ambiguous human text) and combined it with what we’re good at (the principles of good web design). The combination leads to great looking sites, more often that you’d expect. We chronicled our journey building GUS in a video series called Open Studio. We’ve been running a private beta for the last few weeks to get early feedback on GUS and it’s been inspiring to see what our creators are building with it. @savvyblunt A very fun fact is that GUS shares a name with one of our designers (whom we now call "Human Gus" to differentiate . . .), and gus.univer.se was a joint effort. What we love about GUS is that it gives you a starting point that's unique to you and your goals, but you can then use the Universe GRID editor to further customize your first page, add more pages, add products for sale, and more. So, while GUS may have given us the inspiration for the GUS website, we then fine tuned it into what it is today because we wanted something clean, and we continued adding videos as we produced them so that you could follow along on our journey while we built in public.

@jjzhuo Well, for starters, our AI builder is actually available for you to use now (and not just an announcement that we're working on it) ;) In all seriousness, though, there are plenty of great solutions in the market, and we're excited to see what Six launches. And then we can give you an actual comparison. For now, probably the biggest difference is that GUS is a mobile-first solution; you can interact with GUS wherever you are, and then use the drag+drop (tap, hold, drag) GRID editor to make modifications.
