That's a fun way to remember passwords! Way better than random strings of letters that don't make sense. Though I was wondering that since this is a browser extension, do you have any plans for people who'd want to use emoji passwords on their phones?

@madebyayan That's a great question! Part of why we are launching the product as a browser extension first is to see if anyone would even want to add emojis to their passwords. Thankfully, most responses have been affirmative so far. In the near future, we plan on rolling out a developer library. That way hopefully many more apps and platforms (mobile or otherwise) will be equipped to support Identiji features as well. And in the meantime, Apple has announced at WWDC 2021 that they are bringing Safari extensions to iOS 15, which seems to be good news — at least for iPhone users.

Cool idea! Although, are you serializing each of the emojis via a given pattern in the background or just keeping it as regular emojis? I can see many problems come up from developers not handling non-ascii passwords.

@sno2 Your first guess is close! And the nice thing with this kind of approach is that we take care of all the mundane but necessary work for developers, while keeping the user-friendliness intact for everyone.

We also thought of a couple of tips for a strong emoji-infused password (that is still easy enough to remember): 1. Use a mix of emojis and common words. 2. Place the emojis and common words as randomly as possible. We would love to hear any other tips you may have as well.

We still in the same issue that passwords made... we need to remember it! I just bought an iPhone 12 mini and an MB Air for my mom and just for set up this 2 devises you need 1 password for the iPhone same for the MDA, then iCloud one, after as it's a new SIM card, you will need to remember the new PIN n°. But after that I think Apple password make a good job
