Hey Product Hunters
Chris here, co-founder and CPO at incident.io. I’m really excited to be launching incident.io on Product Hunt today (with an exclusive discount, more details below!). I hope that this is the day that changes the way you see incidents, forever!
First, a bit of backstory…
Myself, Stephen and Pete (my co-founders) have spent our entire careers working as engineers. We first met at Monzo – a fintech here in London – where we experienced our fair share of stressful incidents and sleepless nights. You know the drill: the pager fires at 4am and battle commences - Slack channels ablaze, constant questions from new joiners, grappling to find the right person to solve the problem. In short, chaos, confusion and a lot of stress 😓
It was a pattern we’d seen in companies everywhere. We knew there had to be a better way. That’s when I built “Response” – Monzo’s Slack bot that helped to take the pain out of responding to incidents. Despite being relatively simple, it was a game-changer, so we decided it was time to improve incident management for everyone 🦸
Enter incident.io 🔥
We’re already helping over 150 organisations (including Vanta, Ramp, Trainline, and GoCardless) to improve their incident management.
How? By empowering teams to run incidents with confidence from start to finish:
📍We meet you where you already work: we’re a Slack native product which seamlessly integrates with all the tools you already use, including PagerDuty, Jira, and Statuspage.
🗺️ No need to worry about process, we’ll be your guide: automated workflows, prompts and nudges bring consistency to your incidents, taking the process out of your hands and unlocking your time for more impactful work.
🧑🚒 Bring in the right people, at the right time: we improve visibility, streamline comms and assign clear roles, so everyone has the information they need to help.
📚 Learn from your incidents to improve your product resilience: automatically generated postmortems and timelines, along with your own metrics dashboard help you build stronger products and happier teams.
We believe we’ve found a better way to manage incidents. Head to our website to take us for a spin (we’re offering an exclusive ProductHunt 20% discount on your first year).
A massive thanks to @Kevin for hunting us! Your support means a lot.

@kevin@evnsio How frequent does it monitor, 30 secs?
Congrats on the launch! Excited to see this topic become more and more relevant. Quick question, can you elaborate on how you assign roles? Is this somehow automated through a connection with the company HR system?
@irina_haupt Hey Irina! We allow you define any number roles inside the product, along with guidance to folks who pick up those roles in incidents.
In terms of assignment, this can be done in a few ways:
- Manually during an incident (i.e. "I'm here and I want to pick up the External Comms role")
- Automated using our Workflows feature (i.e. automatically assign the Incident Lead role for incidents involving the database to Irina)
- Using an external system (i.e. Set the Incident Lead to the person who's on-call in a particular PagerDuty schedule).
- Using our API
We don't currently integrate with HR systems, but we'd love to if it'd be helpful! If you've got an idea of how you'd like this to work, definitely send it my way :)
As paying customer #1 (I think?), it’s been incredible to watch the product grow. We now use it as part of our incident processes, and are using it more and more across the company. Awesome product by an awesome team!
@taimurabdaal Thanks Taimur! We love Causal as well :)

I've been so impressed with the product. Great to see you on Product Hunt today – it's such a key tool in the modern startup stack so I'm excited for the word to spread even further!
We use incident.io and it handles one of the big problems for us: how we can collect/inform relevant people to work on the incident that we have?
