Hi all, This is my time tracker called Interstitch ,based on the interstitial journaling technique (which is more time-tracking than journaling). Interstitial journaling is the idea that taking notes on your work as you go about it helps you focus, and then also serves as documentation of how you spent your time. It's often associated with the Pomodoro technique where you focus for a certain length (25min - 1 hour) then take a break. I was setting goals to work on a certain number of Pomodoro tomatoes a day, and tracking it in my habit tracker. But I was losing the fine grained stats on how long I spent on each project. I created Interstitch to better track my time. Eventually I realized that this is similar to time-tracking that freelancers might do, but mine is specifically oriented around personal productivity. You can create projects, color code them, and then start sessions associated with that project and take notes as you go. Afterwards, you can review your day and see how many sessions you worked on, how long they were, and what you were working on them. There's also a Calendar view that shows you how many hours total you worked each day and each week, which you can filter down to just a specific project. Interstitch is totally free, I wanted to make something simple and minimal to track my own work.

Congrats on the Launch Bill! I've been hunting for something just like this to maximize productivity – love the simplicity, feature set, and emphasis on journaling to inspire reflection. Is there a native app / menubar on the roadmap? Would love to integrate this more fluidly into my day to day.

@parker_hayes thanks for taking look! The app is mobile responsive and should work on your phone and is synced across devices. I’m not planning any more feature work due to minimal response from others, but I’m still using it and happy to fix bugs and add minor improvements !
