Hey PH family! After over a year of working on Konverge, we’ve finally launched and we are excited to share our app with this community. So why Konverge? We’ve all been met with the frustration of showing up first for brunch or happy hour and wondering where the rest of the crew is, or anxiously waiting for guests to arrive before the guest of honor at a surprise birthday party. Calling or texting for ETAs is troublesome and usually ends up in a game of phone tag. We’ve experienced the same and made it our mission to solve this common problem. Introducing, Konverge. A location based app that streamlines and simplifies the entire process of meeting up. What is it? Konverge is a meet up/RSVP app that combines traditional RSVPs and modern technology into one platform. Send out invites for casual hangouts or business meetings, RSVP to ones you’ve been invited to, chat with only the people invited to certain events, and see everyone’s ETA once they’re en route. While there are location sharing apps out there like Life360, these apps are intended for you to share your location with groups of people for indefinite amounts of time. With Konverge, you aren’t constantly sharing your location with anyone. We aren’t interested in being a tracking app. We simply want to improve planning and eliminate the need to text while driving just to say that you’re running late because you’re stuck in traffic. Here’s how it works: 1. Create an event: Like a typical event invite app, you create an event along with the relevant details: date, time, location and invite your friends. 2. Leading up to the event: you have the ability to view event details, see who’s been invited, and what everyone’s response is. 3. Communicate: integrated group chat that allows you to chat with just the people that have been invited. 4. Location: here’s what sets our app apart from others. When you (or other guests) are en route to the location, simply tap the button to let everyone attending know that you’re en route. You (and everyone else attending) will be able to visually see on a map where everyone else is, along with their ETA. Once someone arrives, all attending guests will get an arrival push notification. There’s no more wondering who has arrived, who’s en route and what their ETA is.
