KoppieSnap

I hail from the homeland of the giant pandas, having grown up in a remote small town. In that place, computers were a luxury, and my only access to them (for gaming purposes) was the local internet café. Until I went to university, I had never been exposed to programming. However, once I did, I immediately fell in love with it, discovering a deeper appreciation for computers beyond gaming. Following this passion, I moved to the United States for graduate studies, which opened my eyes to the broader world. I became acquainted with the startup culture in Silicon Valley, Y Combinator, and the like, sparking the idea of building my own products and venturing into entrepreneurship. The advent of CHATGPT seemed like a perfect opportunity, so I, along with a few friends, decided to take the plunge. We left our well-paying jobs to bootstrap our startup. Our vision was to reimagine an operating system based on Large Language Models (LLM), as proposed by Karpathy, and named it KoppieOS, which we plan to launch later. However, during our journey to launch KoppieOS, we realized the indispensable need for an elegant screenshot tool. The available options were either too expensive or inconvenient for a self-funded team like ours. So, we spent three days developing this entirely free, cross-platform product screenshot tool, KoppieSnap, hoping to aid more developer teams from developing regions and countries. Enjoy.
