Hi PH! 👋 Super excited to share our beta launch here. Meet learnreel, your personalised short video education app. ❓ How it started It started with an idea that less is more. As a startup founder, I needed to quickly learn about a lot of different things, whether it’s marketing, product, sales. But there’s an overwhelming amount of content out there and somewhere along the way things got blurred that the more content there is, the better. YouTube videos are getting longer and longer (12 minutes on average!) to get more ad revenue. Online course platforms offer hours and hours of content, yet their average completion rate is 3%. I’m forever fast-forwarding videos to get to the content I need or playing videos on 1.5x. Our team couldn’t find an education app we were impressed with. Newer platforms like TikTok have disrupted YouTube with their personalised content, which is a big leap forward. But none of these platforms are really made for learning, which introduces friction (who here knows they should learn more each week but has trouble actually doing it? Well, on average, we spend just 1% of our time each week on learning!). This is really cool. I congratulate you on the launch. I am sure that such an application will be popular because often, due to everyday tasks, there is no free time for learning, and if the videos are short and useful, you can always watch them before going to bed and get some benefit.
