Steve Glaveski
Hi all, since 2017, we've delivered Lemonade Stand entrepreneurship workshops to over 1,000 kids across two countries and four cities. We challenged children by asking "what problem do you want to solve?", instead of 'what do you want to be when you grow up?'. But thousands isn’t enough - in a world of rapid change, we need millions of kids to learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, which are intrinsically about adaptability, asking questions, experimentation, comfort with ambiguity and resilience. That’s why we developed Lemonade Stand Online, the EdTech equivalent of our workshops - and then some. The platform guides students, as individuals or teams, through problem identification, ideation, business modeling, prototyping and experimentation, customer acquisition and pitching. It also provides teachers with lesson plans and assessment rubrics as well as access to a community forum, where the latest insights on practicing and teaching entrepreneurship are shared. Our goal is to take students from ‘pretendovation’ and bake sales, to actual innovation and entrepreneurship in the K12 classroom. Would love to know what you guys think! Steve
