Liro is the iOS app that helps you to make videos more accessible and engaging by automatically recognizing voice-over and turning it into captions. Want your videos visually catchy and outstanding? Сhoose among captions' animation styles, colors, and fonts.
Hey, Product Hunters and Makers!
Do you post video content to your personal or professional accounts on Instagram, Facebook, or Tik Tok? If yes – captioned video is a must!
You may ask why?
That's because, according to WHO, 1.5 billion people live with hearing disabilities. And also, because 85% of people scroll through videos on mute, meaning if you do not add captions, a massive number of people will not understand what you're trying to say.
Liro can help you here. It automatically adds captions to your videos, making them more accessible and engaging to all followers.
Statistics confirm that captions do the job, as captioned videos get:
16% more reach; ➤ 26% more CTA clicks; ➤ 17% more reactions; ➤ 16% more shares.
You definitely should give Liro a try, as our first users have reported even more significant growth by 30-40% in reach and views of Instagram stories, comparing to videos without captions.
We would appreciate your feedback ❤️🙌🏻
Hey folks,
I’m so excited to introduce our new product Liro!
But let’s start with a short story first. Let’s be honest, it drives you crazy when you cannot hear what they are talking about in stories on Instagram, Facebook or etc. because your phone sound is on a mute or it is very noisy around. It often happens to me, for example, in public transport, or in a cafe, and in a dozen of other situations.
Then I asked, why there are no captions on videos? I made small research immediately. What we’ve got, there is good and bad news: a good one is content creators want to use captions, a bad one there are no tools for mobile to do that.
The idea was not only automatically recognize text, but make a one-button product with good UI/UX design, add animations to subtitles and make them fancy.
A few months later, and we developed Liro to help content creators to make their content more engaging, accessible, and inclusive.
How it works:
1. Add a video;
2. Wait for voice to be converted into text and placed on a video at the exact timeframe for every word;
3. Pick animations, color, and font styles you love;
4. Save and share this video with your followers and amaze them 😉.
Be brave to download and try Liro. Feel free to share your feedback and to ask us anything.
Thanks!

I usually scroll on mute 🤫, and I always wonder why almost no one adds captions to videos? I hope Liro will change it and make content more accessible 🙏
@vladimir_gosovych Vladimir, we believe we really can change it and make videos accessible for all viewers, even those who are deaf and hard of hearing 🤞🏻

We need the exact opposite! We are a captioning company and need captions turned into voiceovers! We have many large companies that come to us to caption and subtitle their pre-recorded virtual broadcasts in multiple languages, but then they ask for voiceovers for each language. If you ever create something like that, we would be your first paid customers!
@claytoncall hey, thanks for the feedback! Actually, there are a few companies in the market that convert text into speech. For example, we use AI-powered voiceover generation for our video by using https://play.ht
@claytoncall Hi Clayton.
Can you drop me a line on Twitter, so we can discuss your use cases in more detail and we'll see how we can work this out? @olesiagnatovych or you can mail me team@liro.co
Cheers.
