What do you think? …

Nick Freiling
We want to hear about the creative ways people think to use our tool. Let us know what comes to mind!
Ahmad Awais ⚡
@nickfreiling The site is not that good. I can't even find what it costs. You should think about improving that?
Nick Freiling
@mrahmadawais We've added pricing here, and also to our new video. Thanks for the suggestion.
Yash Verma
Do you have any process to cater to original documents (which aren't supposed to be printed/photocopied) being sent by physical mails?
Nick Freiling
@yash_verma3 No. I realize probably 90% of the reason why someone snail mails something is because it's a document that can't be photocopied without losing some of its value. But this is for the last 10%, or for new uses (like non-US firms being able to inexpensively follow-up via USPS with their US sales prospects).
Yash Verma
@nickfreiling Makes sense, wish you all the best!
Evan Moore
Any plans for an API? Would be interest to become the Twilio of physical mail!
Nick Freiling
@evomoore No hard plans, but it's definitely a long-term goal.
Jack Smith
@evomoore https://lob.com/ is already the twilio of physical mail
Nick Freiling
@evomoore @_jacksmith That's true. Lob is great. What we're trying to do (right now) is make this user-friendly for people needing to send one document every so often. It's a whole other space building an API and syncing with direct marketing firms, CRMs, etc. I'm still thinking through our best angle here.
Jack Smith
@evomoore @nickfreiling yeah - your product seems to be a totally different value proposition. that's why i was confused by so many people asking for an api, when lob.com already exists. for your use case, I normally use: https://www.mailform.io/ but will check out your site in the future
Nick Freiling
@evomoore @_jacksmith Mailform is a good product, but very expensive. The way I see it, the inconvenience of having to send snail mail is pretty low. Annoying, but not a huge deal. Most won't pay $7 just to send one letter, which is what Mailform costs for a 5-page color document. That costs just $1.75 with MailThis.
Patryk Golabek
Well done on the launch. Clever idea how did you come up with it?
Nick Freiling
@patryk_golabek COVID-inspired, actually. Been stuck at home, but wanted to send snail mail. Had no envelopes or stamps. So I solved the problem with the tools I did have!
Tom Jenkins
what do you the owner use to pay for and apply postage to the envelope?
Nick Freiling
@tom_jenkins Not sure I understand your question. We take care of this through partnerships with a few professional mail processing centers in the US. Exactly how we manage this going forward is still something I'm thinking through. I'm increasingly inclined to keep all of this in-house, to have the strongest possible grip on document security. But as it is, these orders are processed and letters mailed without anyone ever seeing the document -- this is as important to me as making sure the digital files themselves are encrypted and secure.
Arfan Shaikh
Great work guys, Can this allow folks in India mail to someone in the US?
Nick Freiling
@shaikharfan7 Yes! We're working specifically on setting up a page designed specifically for this purpose, but the page as-it-is does exactly what you describe.
Jack Smith
@nickfreiling i could suggest adding more detail at checkout: so it costs $1.75 but via what mail service is that sent (eg usps first class mail), do i get a tracking number? and how long should i expect it to take (dunno how long you guys take to process stuff)
Nick Freiling
@_jacksmith Almost all of those questions are answered on the website homepage. But the fact that you're bringing this up despite that means I need to take another look at that page, to make sure it's all clear.
Jack Smith
@nickfreiling i can’t see any details about the tracking? also meant how mailform says how long to expect it to take to arrive after dispatch. thanks
Nick Freiling
@_jacksmith Thanks for the suggestion. I'll think about how to add this information to the homepage.
