Hey Product Hunt! I recently went through a bathroom renovation, where all contractors were gathered in a Whatsapp group chat. This was literal hell. They often forgot to respond for days, my questions got unanswered, and just keeping track of everything that had been decided was a real pain (scrolling past 20 messages just to find out which day they are coming to install something) I’m a software engineer, and with all of the AI hype that was going on I thought “hey, maybe AI can _actually_ be used here?”. A couple of days later, me and some friends hacked together a complete group chat application and hooked it up to OpenAI so that it can help with things like. - Answer basic questions (it is still OpenAI so it has knowledge about the world) - Answer questions specific for your conversation, like “Hey, when did we decide on installing the floor?” (the AI has knowledge about all messages in the chat) - Give daily reminders about questions that haven’t been answered The AI should only chime in when it thinks it can help, otherwise it’s just a normal group chat! We had a real problem and didn’t find any good solution out there, so we built our own. Would love to hear your feedback or questions!
