Hello Product Hunt community 👋
I'm Paul, the co-founder and CEO of Meetric (Meetric = meetings + metric), a tool to help managers have super-productive meetings.
We're a small team of 3 based in Sydney and we're building Meetric to ultimately free the world from bad meetings!
A big thank you to @benln for hunting us, we're big fans of your work at Notion!

🌱 How did it start?
When we embarked on the Meetric journey last year, we wanted to address some of the most common problems with bad meetings:
- poor preparation
- starting late/finishing late
- unclear next steps
- action items not getting done
Through customer discovery, we discovered a few things:
- The most popular mediums to document meetings remain the simplest: physical notepad, Apple notes, Google docs, email. People are not looking for complex, integrated tools - they go for simplicity and accessibility.
- For most meetings in the workplace, recording the entire conversation & transcribing it into a 10-page document isn't the solution to have clear next steps and good accountability.
- Having meeting notes visible to everyone (during or after the meeting) as well as action items with defined owners and automatic follow-up hold people more accountable.
We also wanted to build something that looks good and feels good, that we would love to use ourselves - if we loved it, we assumed others would too.
📆 What is it?
Meetric is a Saas product to easily write down meeting notes with anyone in the meeting, and automatically connects that information to the right meeting in your calendar. Talking points, decisions, actions — nothing ever gets lost, accountability gets a boost!
It's like Google Docs meets Asana, connected to the calendar.
🧑🤝🧑 Why users love Meetric?
- It's simple, easy to use, mobile-friendly.
- Notes are linked to the Google calendar events and so organised already.
- Past notes / outstanding action items are surfaced in the next meeting.
- You can collaborate on the notes in real-time with other guests in the meeting.
- It keeps track of time and alerts you on how long you have left in the meeting.
- Our Chrome extension does all the above inside Google Calendar & Google Meet.
- The dark mode...
🔮 What’s next?
Integrations (Microsoft/Outlook, Slack and more), meeting preparation 2.0, polling, tagging and much more!
♥️ Let us know what you think!
We're at the beginning of our journey and your feedback is super-important to us, so try Meetric in your next meeting and tell us how it went!
Happy meetings!
Paul, Steve, David
The Metric tool actually seems super- productive when it comes to organising a meeting with a large number of colleagues and clients. Is there a certain way I can invite all the members to a specific “room” and share the minutes of the meeting before the meet starts? This may actually help all my colleagues and clients to be on the same page during the meeting.

@gupta_ayushh Yes you can! You can just make the URL of the Meetric page public and send it to your colleagues ahead of the meeting.

I love the agenda template feature when creating meeting notes for each time block in my calendar. However, I noticed that these notes don't get saved in the actual Google Calender Events. Was this a purposeful choice? Thanks!

@sean_kyu_won_kim - great question. The place in which you write the notes in Meetric is not just for the agenda, it's also for the meeting notes and minutes during the meeting. It's saved in Meetric but it's 'linked' to the corresponding event in your Google Calendar. It doesn't appear in the Description area of your actual event in Google Calendar because at the moment, we don't have "write" access from Google, only "read" access so we can't technically update it - it was a purposeful choice but we may revisit this.
Is having it saved in the description field of the actual event a feature you would enjoy having? If yes, would this be to show the agenda of the meeting (written in Meetric) or the meeting minutes of the meeting (written in Meetric) or both?

Hi Paul thanks for the response. Regarding your question:
If yes, would this be to show the agenda of the meeting (written in Meetric) or the meeting minutes of the meeting (written in Meetric), or both?
It would be for both. Some of our team members who are the most resistant to change will love to just see whatever content that was updated in Meetric to be shown in the description area of Google. I think that moment they will have the 'aha moment' as they won't think this is another repository but actually an enabler to their current work environment.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Sean

This is a seriously well-built product. The UI is simple, snappy, a pleasure to use. All the integrations are very smooth. Really impressive - well done team meetric.
We use this tech and it solves a real problem around accountability during and after meetings. Would recommend anyone who has daily meetings to check it out.
Well done guys!!!

Been using meetric for about a month now and its super intuitive, handy and really outstrips a lot of its competitors for me. I have tried to find a good meeting notes, actions and agenda tool and I think this might just be the one!
One of the best products I've used in a LONG time! Makes me feel like I'm a superhero of productivity and helps me stay on top of my meetings, actions, and keeps everyone involved accountable.
