What do you think? …

I built Navver after experiencing some really terrible weather on a road trip during the winter. I wished at the time I could just see what kind of weather system I was in, and how far out it would end without having to fiddle with my phone as I was driving. So far it seems to suit my needs, but I certainly have lots of room for improvement.

@danielslapelis This is super interesting. For a long road trip across the mountains I would like to plug in a destination and be told the forecast along the route (temperatures, conditions, etc) specifically at each of the waypoints (towns). Is this something you can do with your app?
Daniel Slapelis
@tombielecki Thanks for the feedback, Tom! This is not currently a feature in the MVP, but it is something I am actively working on. I had the same vision with that -- an overview of the weather along the route (and real-time information regarding weather conditions 10-20mi ahead). I settled for just radar for this initial release because I figured that would generally be the most useful way to quickly look and see "oh wow there's something nasty up ahead".

@danielslapelis very excited for the future of this app. Make sure it's colorblind friendly, when radar maps have more "aesthetic" color gradients, they tend to be less useful at a glance. Can you also provide alerts? If the temp drops 5 degrees or conditions change drastically in the upcoming 10-20mi there should be an audio+visual alert?
Daniel Slapelis
@tombielecki Absolutely, I will be doing push alerts based on conditions and the user's location. These are all important things for me to consider -- I actually hadn't thought of the colorblind accessibility. I will definitely have to include some options for that.
