We're a scrappy little husband/wife team with a vision to make badass nerdy shirts affordable again. So we bought a shirt press, taught ourselves how to print, and we're seeing our vision through.

What do you think? …

Amrith
@arickconley what's the plan for the longer run? πŸ€“
Arick Conley
@amrith Well when we came up with the idea, we didn't have many expectations for how we would feel about the whole process. Turns out, we really enjoy it. We'd like to keep at it, and deliver on our promise of being a cheap way to score a cool shirt. The issue of turning into a full-time business is of course scaling it. We have a plan if it gets to the point where we can't keep up with the demand, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
AJ
I like it! Do you guys ship overseas?
Josselin Colletta
@footer Same question :) @arickconley
AJ
@arickconley @josselinco I'm asking this, as via the website it is possible to buy from overseas but I think it's just a technical error and it shouldn't
Arick Conley
@footer Our plan was to offer it to everyone. We thought the orders from North America would cover our losses from overseas orders. We may have grossly over estimated that, so we’re going to reevaluate how to handle them. We want to offer it to everyone so it’s definitely at the top of my priorities to figure out how to get it done without charging too much for shipping. If we could charge $5 more for overseas orders, what would your response be?
AJ
@arickconley I think 5$ is very reasonable. The challenge is that you sell on type of t-shirt at a time. If I were able to but a batch of different models for myself, then a higher shipping fee would be justifiable. So to summarize: I think with the current business model that you have, $5 is completely reasonable
Arick Conley
@footer Ya, we'd love to be able to offer multiple designs at one time. We tried to find a way to make it possible for us to do that, but with it just being us two, and not generating a whole lot of profit, it's tough to offer that. The amount of time and steps involved in printing a single shirt makes it very tough to justify. We would have to raise the price for it be worth it. Our plan is to offer a single design per week as it keeps our process simple, allowing us to potentially lower the price even more in the long run. It's still early and we're figuring things out, but we really appreciate your input. We'll keep orders open to overseas, but I'm going to have to change the shipping rate for those orders. I sincerely thank you for the input.

I should atleast be able to choose what size shirt I want.... πŸ˜’
Arick Conley
@aafable you’re not able to choose a shirt size? There should be a drop down menu on under the picture of the shirt. Would you mind telling me what browser you’re using? Could be a potential bug we need to work out.

I like the idea and understand the concept. Just be sure to prominently let people know about not having a color choice. FYI, for me, it didn't look like you could scroll down and the main menu links were to separate pages. In this instance, some may never find out about shirt color choice leading to customer dissatisfaction. This is one downside to sidebar navigation. Here's how the site looked to me: http://r3v.in/bp.
