Kia ora/hello, hunters! Prashant Trivedy here, founder/maker of Nolan - an app that aims to give anyone the ability to create beautiful, creative multi-camera live streams directly from their phone, without additional laptops/software/cables. Why? My brother got engaged last year and, due to covid lockdowns, had an engagement party at home. We wanted to stream this to family overseas and discovered (painfully) that video chat apps (e.g. Zoom) are not suitable for one/few-to-many event streaming. ๐Ÿ˜ซ. As other viewers joined and forgot to mute their mic, the stream was disrupted for all viewers. ๐Ÿ˜ซ Setting up multiple angles (e.g. one camera to show the couple, one camera pointed at family/guests who attended) was a PITA. Viewers couldn't figure out how to pin videos, and although pinning worked for a single feed, it didn't work for multiple feeds. There wasn't an easy way to broadcast multiple camera angles without running multiple cameras through a laptop + additional software. After going through the pain, I thought there must be a better way to stream multiple camera feeds, and "direct" which feed the viewers see, purely using a mobile phone or a tablet. Being an engineer at heart, and an amateur videographer by passion, I set about trying to create something that would make my life easier. ๐Ÿ’ก Nolan๐Ÿ’ก Nolan is an app that allows streamers to easily set up a stream using their phone camera, invite other contributors (joint-streamers) to stream video from their phone camera, and "direct" the stream by picking which video to stream as the "master" on-the-fly with the tap of a finger. No more boring single-camera streams. Nolan is currently in beta and would love to welcome early adopters to test it and provide any and all feedback. With Nolan, you can currently: โœ… Create a stream ๐Ÿ‘€ Invite viewers ๐Ÿค Invite contributors/joint-streamers ๐ŸŽฌ Invite editors/switchers ๐Ÿ”„ Switch between feeds with a tap of your finger ๐Ÿ”€ Stream to any RTMP destination (e.g. Youtube, Facebook) Iโ€™d love your feedback, and would also be happy to answer any questions you have. Cheers! Prashant

Given the Covid circumstances, my wedding was restricted to 25 people from an initial guest list of approx. 500 people. We used Nolan to livestream the wedding, with hundreds of viewers concurrently watching the livestream. Nolan allowed different angles of all the finer details of a traditional Hindu wedding, allowing our viewers to feel like they were a part of the special event. Big props!

@rtrivedy thanks for the kind words, and for being part of Nolan's journey!

This sounds great. Canโ€™t wait to test it. Whatโ€™s the roadmap for iOS?
Prashant Trivedy
@sree Thanks for the encouragement. We have an iOS build in beta, would be happy to add you to the beta tester group if interested. Let me know.

are you giving api ?
Prashant Trivedy
Hi Bhushan, can you describe what you'd like to use the API for? This is something I've considered however it would be useful to know the use case to help prioritise it
