Hey all! I am one of the Founders of Nomad Haven 🌴 I have a background in tax and accounting, and I'm also a digital nomad. Having paid state income tax in 2021 in my "home state" while traveling the world as a digital nomad with no home, I realized my mistake and in 2022 properly adjusted my residency and domicile to accurately reflect my nomadic situation. *This increased my post-tax salary by over 15% and funded my travels for the next year.* Changing my residency to a tax-free state and everything it involved was fairly complicated, from getting a physical address, to mail forwarding, to vehicle registrations and insurance.
