👋 Hi Product Hunt! I’m super excited to share this project with you. 🎉 For a while now, I’ve been a fan of pg's essays. His insights on writing, programming, technology, and startups are second to none, and his writing style is a pleasure to read. I wanted to make that accessible to a broader audience. What is it? 📚 223 of Paul Graham’s essays 🌍 Translated into 8 languages 🤖 4 machine translations per language 🏆 Rate translations to see which model captures PG’s style the best Who is it for? For Hackers & Painters. It’s for international readers of Paul Graham who prefer reading in their native language, and who might find that some translations do a better job than browser-based translation tools like Chrome or Safari. Why? This project is a test. I'm curious to know whether the models are good translators. Do these models capture the nuances of Paul’s writing better than existing browser tools? Is it preferable to have translations as individual pages on their own website, or would people rather go direct to source? 🤔 What I’m looking for Your feedback! I’d love to know: • How useful is this for international readers? • How well do these models perform compared to browser translation tools? • Which translation models work best? If this project gets traction, I’ll explore adding more languages and experimenting with even better models like GPT-4o, Claude-3.5-Sonnet, Gemini-1.5-Pro, and Llama-3.1. Thanks for checking it out, and I can’t wait to hear what you think! 🚀
