PH Launches feature stories of Indie Hackers and creator who have launched their projects on Product Hunt. This curated database features hundreds of case studies sourced from blogs, social media accounts and online communities.
Hi! I'm Jade. This is my first product hunt launch and I'm so excited to become part of this community. My main goal is to learn as much as I can about creating useful products.
About PH Launches
PH Launches curates the stories of different Product Hunt launches. I summarize the launches based on public information. It helps save time from doing the research manually. This makes it easier to identify trends and figure out what may work for you.
It's for people who want different perspectives, not just those who have the most viral case studies.
Why did I create PH Launches?
I had been working on a separate website, where I curated the journeys of Indie Hackers and bootstrappers. I had curated a lot of different Product Hunt launches and was struggling to display it in the original directory website. I decided to create a different site so I could curate a wide variety of launches.
Seeking Feedback
I would love feedback on other ways I could have organized the information. I had originally planned to use subcategories to do this but couldn't achieve this in Pory or Softr. It's beyond my current skillset. Would love any other ideas on how to improve it
@illia_kovalenko Thank you :) I'm happy with how it went considering I'm not really part of the Product Hunt community. I got more feedback than on Indie Hackers, where I got crickets. I hope to be able to learn a lot more
Good idea! You should highlight which launches were Products of the day/week/month.
Also, here's 1 more case for you: https://twitter.com/StephNass/st...
@stephnass Thank you. I do have that information when you click on the individual case study. Are you saying it would be useful to have that on the category page, or made more clear on the main page?
@stephnass Thanks so much again. I've added it as a filter and the # product of the day should show up on the cards. A bit of mucking around, but definitely makes it more useful
@cravenjade Nice!
If I may add a few suggestions :
- Ranking : I would only care for the top 3 of the Day/Week/Month. No need to go to Top 8 of the Day.
- On your landing page, just below the intro text "...to provide an overview of launches", I would add a button "See cases" or "Explore cases" that scrolls down to the "case studies" section
- Recommended resources : Would defiitely add https://pw2.akkio.com/

Solid. There's no paid plan? I'd gladly pay for this. Going to launch in the next month or two. Trying to build in public to gain an audience. Might take too long. Anyway, Thanks!
@william_gordon Thanks for your comment. I don't think the information warrants payment at this point. I make it easier to find case studies, but the visitor still has to do a lot of work to apply the lessons to their own situation. If you are specifically after tips, I recommended checking out https://www.thelaunchchecklist.com/ .
Good luck with building in public. I didn't have much of a profile before launching this. There is definitely a correlation between a strong community and a successful launch, but it doesn't always work. I'm also seeing examples of people who launched with a smaller audience and having success. Here is one from last year: https://www.indiehackers.com/pos...
All the best. If you do a write up of the launch, let me know :)
Hey @cravenjade 👋 congrats on the launch! This is amazing! Honestly, just a week ago I was asking Twitter is there someone who does something like this. https://twitter.com/NotechAna/st...
I'm so exited that you've launched this service. My vote is all yours 😁
@anab It's different to what you were describing: I analyze the launch itself, and not the product. But your idea sounds awesome. I would love to do that for products based on curation, but a lot of the other products on here are too niche. Sounds like a great community project :)
Congrats on your first PH launch! This is a big deal and love that you created something that feels like a small love-letter to PH.
Also love that you built this using no-code, because it must have took you long time to collect and curate all these PH launchings and I'm glad the tools allow you to create a digital product out of it. Well done!
@andrew_tsao Thank you. I actually started out using it in WordPress, but found it had too many limitations. I even bought a specific plugin, the set up for that was overwhelming. I've always preferred WordPress, but this project has really helped me see the potential of no-code. Will definitely be exploring it for other curation projects.
